Just realized this: if you mod the head to look a little more boxy, add some plates to make the chest broader, add some arms for the wing binders to move more and attach them to the thigh, and paint it orange, then you get a dead ringer for the Sleipnir from Aldnoah.Zero!

Sorry for the necropost, but your comment actually made me curious so I Googled it and it turns out that Kenji Teraoka, the mechanical designer for Aldnoah.Zero, was also one of the mechanical designers on Iron-Blooded Orphans. The more you know. :P

Great review again. The yellow pieces are nice, but they definitely should have made an extra grey cap for them rather than a sticker.

Probably going to get this or the Custom to go with my MG Barbatos. It may be a No grade, but it's still a decent kit for a grunt unit

While the articulation on the hips is somewhat restricted all right I didn't have any problems with loose joints or parts falling off during positioning. That was actually the prime issue of my 1/144-version of the Graze. In fact it is the Barbatos 4th form which caused the most problems for me during assembling, since its yellow parts look downright cheap (and should have been in the gold of the Grimgerdes blades) and had to be painted. Also, the Barbatos IV has so weak joints in the hips it's prone to sink into a split when brought into a wide spread action stance. Then the B-IVs arms can't close up enough to hold the sword two-handedly in more than one position. And it's Smoothbore-Gun can't be probably aimed horizontally when attached to the auxillary arm. Now, that's some flaws all right! In comparison to this the Graze Standard/Commander was and is just an easy going fellow, and a kit I'd much more recommend than the Barbatos IV. The articulation in the hips could be better yes, but that's all there is to note. At least in my kit. ;) Maybe you just had been sent a singular flawed item.

Hey Zack, I just finished the HG 1/144 Graze and I honestly have to say it was my least favorite build. It seemed more fragile than any kit I've built recently. It has poor articulation and it was hard for me to hide small blemishes. However, like you said in the video, I like the look of the Graze. But I guess I will not move up in scale. Thanks for all the reviews!

In one of the last few issues of Hobby Japan there is a build of this kit and the builder super detailed it by cutting additional rectangular hole details into the armor the expand on what is molded into the armor panels already. Does anyone know how that would be accomplished? These are fully cut, rectangular holes on an armor panels face. They are not on the edges.

+John Middleton Scribing :), more specifically, panel line scribing, look around on youtube, theres tons of modeling tutorials on how to do this. A steady hand though really helps, then theres the choice of using plain or electronic tools to get it done (both with pros and cons of course)
