बावला सुल्तान: ये एक दूर देस की कहानी है, इसमें एक बात सयानी हे, जिसे अक्सर इतिहास दोहराता हे, फिर भी मिटा ना पाता हे एक दिन गद्दी पे नया सुल्तान आया, एसा दूजा ना था, सबसे कहलाया! मगर दूर इतिहास चिल्लाया, देखो एक और बावला सुल्तान आया! पर इतिहास का क्या हे, वो तो बुढ़ा और लाचार हे खेर, गद्दी पे नया सुल्तान आया, नाम तो था कुछ, पर वो भी आखिर बावला कहलाया! नाचता था गुरूर उसके माथे बन सुरूर, कहते थे पूजक वो तो हे उसका एक नूर अपनी मिट्टी की दुहाई वो देता था, अपनी ही मिट्टी से जाने वो इतना क्यूँ रूठा था, कहता था कि छोड़ आया में सब अपने, क्या पता था उसको तो था सिर्फ तख्त सर्वप्रिय! नफरत गुज़रे समय से वो कराता था, नए दिन के उल्लास की बात वो रखता था, जाने क्यूँ फिर भी दुहाई उसकी ही देता था, हरा जिसे वो गद्दी पे बैठा था! इतिहास उठा, फिर चिल्लाया, अरे देखो बावला सुल्तान आया, दबी उसकी चीख, जब बेबस लाचार हुआ और कतार में आया! एक कहीं प्रजा में बात उठी, क्या किसी ने सुना इतिहास कुछ चिल्लाया? हाहाकार मचा, तांडव हुआ, वजीर बोला, कुछ बहरूपिये थे, उनपर वार हुआ देखो फिर और जोर का उल्लास हुआ, रंग जमा, लहू बहा, फिर सब कुछ आम हुआ देखते देखते कुछ ऐसा चर्चा आम हुआ, ये तो सुल्तान नहीं कोई अवतार हुआ! फिर क्या था, हर हर सुल्तान हुआ, जयकारा-ए-सुलतान हुआ!! इस जश्न के जलसे में, कुछ रुआँसी आवाजें आयीं, थोड़ी कराही, कुछ चिल्लाए, ए सुल्तान! हम भी तो तेरे हें, हमसे कैसा बेर, इस मुल्क के सपूत तो हम भी जैसे तू भी हे!! मगर क्या करें, जश्न में जोश था, आरोप था, प्रत्यारोप था, खेर, वो सब भी आम हुआ समय गुजारता रहा, किस्से-बातें आम होती रहीं सुल्तान मदमस्त था, बेख़ौफ़ था, शायद तभी सोच ना सका, देख ना सका पर ये क्या? वो धीमी बेरंग, बेनूर आवाजें तो हर और से आने लगी! सुल्तान कुछ करवाता, करवा सकता था, पर उस बदनसीब का दिल छोटा और देश बड़ा! फिर वो बातें भी आम हुईं, किस्से कहानी मेँ वो आवाजें ही बदनाम हुईं फिर एक दिन एक चिंगारी ऊटी, पर सुल्तान को वो बात बेमानी लगी, सुल्तान बोला सब दुरूस्त हे, वजीर बोला सब दुरस्त है, पूजक बोला, हान देव, सब दुरस्त है फिर वो बातें भी आम हुईं एक दिन और एक चिंगारी उठी, फिर अगले दिन एक और, अगले पहर एक और फिर हर पल एक और, सुल्तान बौखलाया, सबको याद दिलाया, में खुदा हूँ, मुझपर किसका जोर? ये आवाज मुझे नापसंद हे, जाओ खत्म करो ये बेमुनासिब शोर!! फिर क्या था! जो अब भी आम ना था, अब वो भी आम हुआ, वाह क्या मंज़र हुआ, क्या त्राहिमाम हुआ!!! उस रोज हर कोई जोर चिल्लाया, देखो, भागो, आखिर बावला सुल्तान आया, दौड़ौ! भागो! बचो! बचाओ! देखो बावला सुल्तान आया!! इतिहास दूर खडा सब देख रहा था, बावला सुल्तान अपना ही तख्त जला रहा था! मूड देख उसने चौराहे से कहा, भाई! तैय्यार हो जा, तेरा भी वक्त आया! वो देख! एक और बावला सुल्तान आया!! एक और बावला सुल्तान आया!! - Written by Sunny Soral
