In this series of videos we spend 61 days overlanding through Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. In the process we drive 12315km, visit 16 National Parks and have amazing wildlife sightings along the way, including a number of species we see for the first time.
In this episode we visit the Liuwa Plains and Kafue National Parks in Zambia after crossing the border from Namibia at Katima Mulilo / Sesheke. We take a detailed look at some of the campsites we used. We experience extremely variable road conditions, from excellent paved roads, to severe potholes, to very deep sand.
Among the interesting animals we see are Oribi, Puku and African Wild Dog. Other sightings include Hyena, Lion, Leopard, Blue Wildebeest, Red Lechwe, etc.
On the downside we fight a losing battle (and unsuccessfully try some local remedies) against tsetse flies.
