At 24:30 the Mufti mentions a story where the sister of Imru' al-Qais takes down his Mu'allaqat after hearing the Qur'an / Surah Hud, Ayat 44 in particular. I am looking for a reference / source for this event, as I am writing an academic paper on the 'ijaz ul-Qur'an and would like to mention this story. Does anyone have the source? Jazak Allah khair.

@@33Chapter I was not able to find it, unfortunately, However, I have subsequently heard a similar story, but was attributed to Ibn al-Muqaffa'. He lived around 100 years later than Imru' al-Qais's sister. The story goes that he was trying to write verses similar to the Qur'an to disprove its divine origin. Then he heard a boy reciting Surah Hud Ayah 44. That led him to declare that the Qur'an cannot be from the works of man, and to give up trying to compete with the Qur'an. Again, there is no formal attribution of this event, and it is in the realms of legend / folklore.
