After my stepfather passed away, I used photoshop to change a photo of him for my mom. I moved and painted the eyes to be looking forward instead of off to the side, and made the photo less saturated because it was far too orange. She printed a large size of it and kept it with her for the rest of her life. I can only image how much more comforting it might have been if it would have been able to move and talk to her. That seems like it would really comfort some older people when their partners are gone.

This lecture has simply helped understand the concept of deep learning. I am taking machine learning at some institution and it was so confusing until now with the whole structure of applying deep learning and which tools to apply where. I think it is the other way around, wouldn't it make sense if the input is less than 0 and y < 0.5 that it would be negative. i.e the green part is positive and the blue part is negative. Please correct me if I am wrong and if I am, would you mind explaining it.

This is by far the best introduction I've seen on deep learning. And it is a big improvement over the prior year. However, you do have some way to go in developing the lecture. Communicating about the subject may be more difficult than discovering the subject. (Plan on about taking an hour to develop the talk and slides for each minute of presentation.) The first part of the lecture is fantastic but the quality goes down later. Try to reduce the amount of information presented and spend more time on making the transitions easy to follow.
