I really love the fact that Liu Kang made time to sit and have dinner with the champions (and then abandon them when the time came to pay the bill). If there's one thing this game does better than its predecessors at, it's depicting a warm and wholesome dynamic between the Earthrealm champions as allies and friends. The banter and dialogue between them says a lot about how far they came since when they first met Liu Kang and trained at the Wu Shi.

Been playing fighting games my whole life and I absolutely love everything about this new story, from klassic, to 3D, to new era, all get their new perfect roles/story/purpose. This game was a love letter to long time fans of the franchise and its about damn time a good AAA title had some heart put into it, its a great year for fighting game fans

The fact there's even a selectable option for DLC characters in the roster is honestly cool. Reminds me of when we first got to pick three fighters to fight the final boss in World of Light in Smash Ultimate, how people wrote their own stories and came up with their own reasons for the fights they chose. As a Havok fan, I am extremely happy with how this game ended. Originally when I saw the trailers and I was thinking of the plot I thought they would psych us out with Shang Soon and shao Kahn being villains and be revealed to be Havik and I'm glad that seems like that's where they're going to be going with the new plot. I hope they just don't do a fake out Dark Raiden again.

I dunno why but I'm glad this Liu Kang is the Liu Kang. Like it feels like going to a new school but the one teaching is a familiar face so you have a sense of safety while being around somewhat new faces and I love the direction this new saga is going. I enjoyed every second of the story. Love the new light and roles each character played that were sort of different from their previous ones. Everyone in the games playable roster had a perfect amount of storytelling given and I just have to applaud Mr Boon for making such an awesome game ❤️🙌😁

I just realized something, liu kang made the same mistake he made back in deadly alliance when he was fighting Shang and Quan Chi. He put his focus on Shang allowing Quan Chi to surprise attack him and temporally incapacitate him if the second character wasn’t there, Liu Kang probably would’ve died like in deadly alliances. I know technically there is a big difference in that liu Kang actually knows Quan Chi is there this time when is deadly alliance he didn’t but I still think it’s a kinda neat callback or at least a cool coincidence

A truly awesome final chapter, in not only coming full circle, and allowing you to choose whoever you want of the playable cast, but it also making it look like everyone was important in it, even dead people! Even NON playable characters like Sonya. I hope that future DLC Mortal Kombat specific characters like Quan Chi will come along the relative updates for this chapter, so one can play as them too in it.
