In terms of "How do I stop that" at 17:39 for Gief's armor punch... doesn't OD hitgrab destroy this? It's upper body invincible and goes through the charged punch then lands the grab? I've seen this work on Marisa's charged armor moves and even various DI attacks.

I don't know if is skill issue from my part but i think gief is hard to beat as manon, his pokes has more reach, he has armor move, his drive rush is dumb as f and he has more health than manon Imo manon has a very bad time to reach zangief, meanwhile if he gets a hard knockdown, the 50/50 simulator begins

SF6 has a lot of strong offensive tools, and dRush allows everyone to convert a poke into a solid combo route with good oki and corner carry, then you add the fact that the game has no throw protection and you get a very oki centric game. Like I'm not saying that previous games had no guessing or no oki, but it def wasn't as emphasized as in 6. in SF3 for example you get throw immunity for like 4 or 6 frames after any interaction with the opponent, on top of having parry and reversals. in SF4 you could spend 2-3 bars to have a safe reversal and you had crouch tech to deal with throws and shimmies. SFV is somewhat similar to 6 but the equivalent of dReversal was much better and throws at best gave you oki, but not a guaranteed throw loop, it was also the first game to have normals working like in 6 where almost every button is cancelable, but you had to hit confirm in V. SF6 leans more into the anime game mentality where if you spend meter, you get pressure.

I have one good tip because four players who main Grapplers specially on professional level usually have a lot of patience and a strong mind to endure playing without a reversal option. I would say get some exercise get the blood flowing to your brain so you'll be able to make even stronger decisions... focus on a proper meal meditate rest and I promise you'll have more explosive sessions at tournament similar to this one

Idom and many other pro players in the competitive scene are scrubs! Scrub does not mean a new or bad player! A scrub is actually the one who complains about the game and how other people play, think of how much we harp on Dark side Phil for being such a scrub! He's a scrub not because of how good or bad a player he is, but his attitude. So idom and others ultimately have the same attitude and complain a lot about this game and thus they too are scrubs! A scrub is the person complaining about the camper and not the camper themselves! A scrub will never learn more change how they play to counter the obstacles they are whining about because they've convinced themselves they are not the scrub and the other player who camps, does wake up supers must be one instead!
