I really didn't understand Five's character in the end at all..I mean, what was her purpose? To give 9 and 12 hell, pursue them (or 9 to be more specific) like some crazy whack-job whilst pretending as if her goal is to kill them and then finally killing herself before kissing him? (I also felt as if there wasn't much of a romance going on between them..maybe 5 had a thing, but 9 definitely felt more guilt or regret for having left her behind. He even let 12 get away calling her a bitch) To me, 5 was what I'd call a villain or antagonist with potential...but well yeah she didn't exactly have a good plan mapped out in the end. It felt like she was going all, 'YOLO!' in the end. P.S HISALISA FOREVER! FUCK! WHY DID 12 HAVE TO BE SHOT?! WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SWEAR THEY DID THIS TO GIVE US DEPRESSION! 12 WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS! (9 too!)

It's basically unsettled rivalry between 5 and 9. The problem was, they'd both die anyway, very soon, because of what they went through in the project. You know, strong headache and then death. What 5 wanted the most before her end was to utterly defeat 9 (taking his life and perhaps sabotage his plans in the mean time). And so she did. But rather than landing the last shot, she let him live (because they were ultimately friends, despite their rivalry).
