Thank you for this great video .. Following this guide I just cleared my Lindo 300 drain out. Very useful to have some direction.. The drain pipe slides off easily as you stated but I found it useful to grip the metal retaining ring with mole grips to get it back on. I also marked the closest electrical wire on the pump with a marker pen so as not to get them confused. Rate out of 10 for difficulty for a non DIY person 2 out of 10 .. Not at all difficult. Required tools small socket set and a Torx key set. Thanks again.

Hi Duncan, just want to thank you for your you tube video. Everything went exactly as planned. I took photos at each stage and marked one of the connectors before disconnecting. I also noticed arrows that allow you to realign the pump and the black rubber filter with the main body of the machine. Thanks again Duncan. Only for your video I don't know what I would have done. My problem was probably a tissue in my jeans pocket that stopped the pump. There was lots of bits of tissue when I got the load of laundry done. I emptied the hose and then ran the machine again and it worked fine. It's been working fine ever since.

Glad I could help David , bad design with no filter. And bad access to the pump. Just done my sons as well different make , but you could spin the impeller through the filter front , however the whole pump and pipes leading to the pump was blocked solid with Crap! So machine could not pump out!

Many people don't know where to find the filter in this machine. Even in the store where I bought mine, they didn't know. This seems to be a common complaint about the Lindo. Personally I'll never buy one again, it is the worst machine I ever had. It doesn't get the laundry clean and is terrible at rinsing. My old machines without 'smart' tech performed better and were more reliable.

Also find it is terrible at rinsing .. We need to rinse everything again after every wash.. surprising as the last zanussi jet system we had lasted 10 years and was an awesome machine.

Thanks Duncan, that's exactly what I was looking for. I left a tissue in my pocket😢, some mess, so I went for the filter🤔. Some aspects of the video were very dark, a spotlight might have helped, but nonetheless it pointed me in the right direction for which I'm very grateful. My water supply is full of limescale so I put a bottle of 10% vinegar in with the wash, when it starts to take in water I pour some vinegar through the detergent drawer and I repeat this until last water intake. I'm just wondering, does much water come out when you open this unit, thanks for your help

clothsandwater in machine since7 o'clock this morning I have tryed everything it now 8 o'clock no improvement .E 20 came on I pressed button 16 came on it kept washing for lots of hours .then I put on Drain and spin at 5 min it went to 4 minutes stayed there spinning didn't empty. I kept doing that all day long .cloths and water still in it .I am so disappointed with zanussi lindo300 .no filter on front of washing to clean it out so I have to turn washing machine up side down to find filter every month to clean it out

Hello! This is a great video and I managed to check everything as a non DIYer. No blocks so assumed the pump was the issue for the e20 error. Ordered a replacement pump and easy to refit the pump itself. However the machine now leaks a bit! I think I overtightened the screws into plastic :( any ideas? Is there anything I might have missed in refitting it or any tips for stopping the small leak from around the pump body?

Did this recently marked the positive terminal & connector with a black permanent marker. Two red wires for P & N - Ridiculous. I noticed the impala on the output circuit, is that supposed to be some magic alternative to an actual filter? Ideally they would have both on these machines but that would cost money!

Hi a socket set makes it easy you only need a metric socket set with a long socket extension. The socket set will come in handy for many other jobs . Around the house .

@@sharonjackson4067 Hi Sharon, sorry, just read this. Mine didn't drain. Then it did drain. Then it didn't. I then ran a service wash, as per manual. It's working fine now. The manual actually says to get an engineer out to unclog the filter. If your machine doesn't drain, switch off the machine and leave it switched off for 2 HOURS. There is a special switch on the pump. That switch is heat controlled. Once the pump has cooled down, you should be able to use the drain and spin programme. If you decide to turn your machine over onto its side to clean the pump, ensure that you first use the transportation bolts to lock the drum in place, otherwise, you can damage the machine. Of course, you need to remove the bolts afterwards, before you do a wash.

If there is no filter, then try the same fix . When you take the pump off a bit further up below the electrical connections is the actual impeller. Which may be stuck Simply remove the bolts and you will see the impeller, this should spin freely with no. Crap inside .

At the start of the video Duncan, you say there is no filter in this Zanussi model. At 1:58 into the video, you show us where the pump is located under the machine and tell us, "that's where the filter is located"! At 5:43 you again say there's no filter! I'm thinking, if there is no filter (prefilter), before the pump, then everything will simply go through the pump and into the waste. (I know the pump itself is self-cleaning by carrying out a service wash as required.) However, on page 16 of the user manual, on the first troubleshooting point, at the last bullet point in the right hand column, it tells you to get an engineer out to clean the FILTER since it can become clogged! I have only one question: How did you turn that machine onto its side please?

Hi Julie sorry for late reply , I wok a 90 hour week and am away from base a great Deal . Point taken! A froidien slip. There is definitely no filter on this perticuler model. Sometimes in the hand book it covers models either side . So these filters are normally located at the front of the machine underneath the glass bowl or actually inside the drum. All would. Be a lot easier if this was the case. Re the washing machine in its side . A good pair of stout shoes and pull the washing machine towards you whilst taking the weight then lowering it carefully on its side. It might help if you have some firm cushions to lower it onto , so you don’t trap your fingers in the final stage. Of this operation hope . this helps. Re Duncan.

Hi Duncan, two quick questions: How did you turn your machine onto it's side please? Before putting the machine onto its side, did you secure the drum? Mine stopped working properly again. So I've been through everything I can possibly do before opening up the machine. One of which was to do a maintenance wash at 90 C as per instruction manual, with no detergent in. Apparently, washing at low temperatures or using too much detergent, can make the pump stop working. The pump has a bimetallic switch on it. If the machine refuses to drain and/or E20 error code comes up, just leave the machine for two hours. The switch will open and the pump will work again! The pump is also prone to overheating. Mine's working again fine.
