I’ve spent years in the modular trenches and have just recently started to sell it all off. It was fun, but ultimately exhausting to build and use. Using it live is usually a nightmare - I’ve noticed this is true even for masterful artistic professionals like Jeremey. I think modular is most effective for videos, to be honest. There’s a performative power to modular synths that you don’t get from watching a person perform from behind a wall of keyboards or a laptop screen. It’s a pleasure to watch and listen to but not very fun to make, from my limited perspective. Every module turns out to be out own instrument with their own learning curves and quirks - even if you’re extremely well versed in synth music, it becomes a monster to manage in most cases. Love/hate relationship 😂

Baller. Maybe Check out ADDAC T-Networks 103 and 104 modules too. Really cheap, and four voices of 808 style t-network voices. This zaps and crackles, then the t-network pops.

That first sound impressed me as if Blondie, Devo, and Kraftwerk gave birth to a mutant baby thing, I imagine it would be that. The second was like 90s german industrial had rough s6x with early 90s New Beat. I've obviously had way too much coffee and not enough sleep.... Always beautiful, inspirational, and educational. And dammit stop making me want to bankrupt myself with modular.
