Agree Malik, with a caveat that entire discussion missed an important factor, that is, role of religious Orthodox leadership in sustaining rule of establishment, whenever they seized power and ruling political families, as well as, sorry to say Sri Imran Khan. So unless, the religious ashrafiya comes at one page with youth like Sri Amaar Ali Jan, his whole apple cart will come down with cry from masaajids that Islam is in danger prompted by entrenched wasted interests. Again, no one from youth is talking about population control or family planning measures, possibly one of the major cause of current and future economic problems.

@@devisomaya7080 I think you are absolutely right on family planning issues which are the crux of the problems. And no one even with a six foot pole would touch them. I remember Ayub Khan almost preached this in every speech. Even somewhat secular (very slight though) Imran Khan would not touch it. His speeches are boring and repetitive. Take it hateful contents, and nothing much would be left. Now come to priesthood or what Allama Iqbal called Mullaeeat. They cannot be congregated on one platform, they have nothing to give us. The basic issue is this bogus and worthless parliamentary system which has destroyed our country. It is barely working in India. India also have large ruling families. It worked because India has larger cushion absorbers and payouts than us. We are simply tired of Sharifs and Zardari’s-IK is still a hope but he is no revolutionary either. At least he can challenge them and that alone is a redeeming point.

@@devisomaya7080 one more think-criticising or even a very small criticism on the role of ulemas and religious orthodoxy is fertile areas of all kinds of land mines and these young people are not well trained to do that. Even seasoned politicians avoid that territory. Mullas in Pakistan is a horrible creed and their opposition is death trap. Politicians like to be alloyed with them and not against them.

A very good effort showing the maturity (depth) and youth (little knowledge) talking on issues. Besides the points raised I walked away from this discussion with the immense need of disciplining and directing this raw energy of nearly 24 coror (70 % of the population of the country). Otherwise as evident from the discussion they will also waste their lives in reinventing the wheel and the dreadful negative cycle of destruction (which sealed our fate for the next 50 years) from 1947 to 1973 will be repeated. P.s. my dear child we are not Peru etc. Our Geo political placement is such that we can never be allowed to decide our fate completely. We have to play according to the rules of the game set on the world stage. The only way to gain some more autonomy and say in our affairs is through hard work and behind leaders who will not fantasise about socialism etc. But maintain a strong defence and develop infrastructure, productivity of all our resources I.e. human skill development, and make an environment like in the U.A.E. where people feel that their wealth is safe and will grow

With all due respect the panelist themselves have roots in Ashrafiya, they dont represent the mainstream youth of pakistan. Based on their discussion its very clear that neither they are informed nor have good depth and grasp on the understanding of current situation in pakistan or abroad. I think Wusatallah sb caught him asking who you are addressing to and his face expressions tell all the story. The example he gave about schools is a global phenomenon. In west there are elite schools, private schools and public schools and people admit their kids based on their economic and social status. Social disparity is everywhere.. the only difference is rule of law in a society at all levels that is the main driver to change course of a country.

I would like to advise these two youngsters that political reforms or changes in the system wouldn’t be happening in isolation. These reforms are to be triggered by social unrest, educational emancipation and very sensitive and sensible media. People from these sectors have to rally around some leader like arwind kejriwal. In India to outside viewers it looks that it’s opposition like congress and other parties are getting disseminated and obsolete under the Modi wave . Yes partly true but political opposition to Modi is growing at state and district levels. Definitely strong leadership is emerging. The BJP and other parties are in constant struggle to win over them or malign them but they wouldn’t be successful. India would see the disintegration of all big parties instead see the strengthening of democracy by coalition of regional / district parties . Till late eighties Pakistani and Indian politics was look allies but later our ways diverged……. Pakistani added to its miseries while India steadily recovered from poverty. ZHK thanks indeed, so lovely to watch and listen to these boys
