There are quite a few singers like her who are miles apart from the film singers. They have their niche. Very popular voice in Carnatic classical circuit and I remember travelling 100 KMs to listen her concert. They don't care about movie songs and probably would have to be compelled to sing in movies. Having said that, Bombay Jayashri had sung some very beautiful film songs.
