Wait. Her sister didn’t call the police immediately after getting that note? Between that and her family distancing them selves, it all sounds like excuses.
@LiamLewisofficial
@LiamLewisofficial 9 ай бұрын
She did actually, but with the media spin it was never reported. We reported her missing the police said she's a young mother in an abusive relationship and didn't do again and assumed she run away. That's why the media got involved.

@@LiamLewisofficialshe should’ve read that note as soon as she walked out the house! I know I would if my sister was in that situation. I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP ON HER NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT IT MAY HAVE BEEN TO DEAL WITH HER AND HER RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS. I wouldn’t care I would be there because my sister is way more important to me than anything and knowing she’s in a toxic and abusive relationship I would be on the sideline waiting for her to give me a hint.

@@mediii8057 yes and we tried to help many times. Obviously I was a child at the time so limited to what I could do, but there were many times we got her away, she went back or asked for help then when it came time to help she said never mind. Abusers force a distance between family and friends of their abuse victim. So you can say what you like, but you weren't in this particular situation. So it's better to be kind and remember something awful still happened to someone innocenta dn the family that still has to grieve and see nonsense comments from people not involved even all these years later. My cousins (her children) see this stuff too. It's not fair.

Just so anyone going through a DV situation is aware, on average it takes 7 attempts to get out. So her going back was not a mistake she made. He was the sorry mistake of a human. We need to shift blame away from victims and towards the dickheads that do these things.

Yes! Actual survivor here! It took me probably 9 times and 15 years to leave. Last September I had enough, and brought my kids to a safe home for women. It took almost a year to secure housing, a job, my license and a car but we did it! People need to understand it isn’t something simple as leaving. These are MASTER manipulators who over time beat you down until you feel like nothing. I thank god every day I finally saw the light and left. My kids will always be most important. My heart goes out to anyone dealing with abuse.

He targeted her because she was about to be a single mom and was so young and vulnerable.he’s a predator. The fact that her family just went along with his shenanigans and accusations for so long is absolutely disgusting. When someone’s doing something you don’t agree with you don’t punish them by abandoning them as a way to coerce them into submission. Whether it’s an abuse situation or them struggling with substance use disorder by abandoning them you’re shoving them further into the depths you’re trying to punish them out of. Make it make sense 🙄

Honestly it's a situation you wouldn't want to be in. When I was about 6 or 7 my sister was abused by her partner. She would call my mum a couple of times a week begging her to come protect her. And my mum would. But she would have to leave me home with my drunk bio dad (who was usually asleep, never abusive) and put herself in danger to do so. After about 8 months of this my mum and had to make the heart breaking decision and tell my sister you either need to leave him, or stop ringing me and ring the police. She said she can't keep leaving me at home with my drunk father and putting herself in a situation that could get her seriously injured or worse dead. Leaving me without a sister and a mum. There were also times my bio dad wasn't home and she would have to take me, leave me outside locked in the car to go get my sister. She said it was the most difficult decision she had to make but it wasn't just my sister she had to look out for, not to mention the strain on her mental health knowing my sister was in that situation and there was nothing she could do about it. I think she kept at it for long because she was abused by her first husband and knew how hard it was but she knew my sister needed to make the hard decision to leave and protect her kid like my mum had to to protect my sister form her bio dad. Luckily it was what my sister needed to leave and she did, she moved in with us until she got on her feet. I wouldn't wish it on anyone but its easy to look from outside in and make a judgment xx

@@sbd1033 couldn’t be me. It honestly sounds like your mom needed to leave her man too but didn’t just cause it’s not physical doesn’t mean he wasn’t hurting her everyday too and making her life hell. Weaponized incompetence is abuse too. So she should’ve understood. My 18 yo is in this situation right now and I’ll NEVER tell her to stop calling me regardless of how inconvenient it is. I’ll take my 11yo daughter with me every time if I have to. Imagine telling her not to call and she dies cause she couldn’t get a way out of there that night. She just called me last week at 4 in the morning to get her and take her to the hospital and I jumped up and did it. She ended up having 3 broken ribs and a skull fracture. When they’re that low in their life and feel that helpless and your own parents abandoned you they won’t have a soul anymore now cause in these situations they’ve already been isolated and forced to stop seeing and talking to everyone else so you’re all they have left. And going after him and constantly telling her what to do isn’t gonna work either. Statistically it takes a person 7-10 times to leave an abusive partner for good. Being annoyed bc you’re inconvenienced is no reason to EVER abandon your child. The police don’t help either and by calling them they’re putting themselves in even more danger. They cops literally do nothing most of the time cause with the man being right there of course the woman is going to say no to pressing charges. With it already being a male dominated field and it’s common knowledge that most white male cops are narcissists and misogynists who also abuse their wife and kids so of course they’re not going to believe or help the woman. I’m so happy that your sister got out alive and got on her feet. Many don’t including my Aunt.

While I do somewhat agree, the family had helped her previously and because they did she didn't see them for months. I think they were worried the same thing would happen again. And you have to remember not all families are close and keep in touch. Especially if you live with domestic violence, it's how they keep control of you by isolating you. Very tragic story for everyone involved.

Red flag for me that a 20 year old is interested in a 17 year old. She’s still in high school. Age gaps are not a big deal later in life but when it involves someone who is still a teenager it’s not ok. Also if someone is constantly accusing you of cheating , often times it means they’re the ones cheating. I wish the family did so,thing when they got that note

I believe in redemption for some...if a significant other is violent, they can definitely change; WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Do not take them back. End it after the first time. When the first "I'll never do it again" comes, say "I hope not; for the next person's sake" and get the hell out. If they did it before you had kids, don't give them kids. If they did it after, pray for a good lawyer.

Ummmm he didn’t lie…Lindsey was the problem. Why TF would you take him back. Especially if your family and friends were there to help as long as you don’t go back to that damn lunatic. She was the “problem” from the start for her repeated poor judgment choosing men, having babies with men you don’t know, marrying a man you just met. Call me judgmental, but our actions have consequences. I’m not going to feel too sorry for this particular case. This one seemed as if the victim just walked right into questionable circumstances over and over again 😕

That little “just wait and see” smirk you are seeing on his face is called Dupers Delight. It can be anywhere from a micro-expression to a full blown smile. Often sociopaths and psychopaths (and many other personality types) get a kick out of lying to people and believing that they are actually fooling them. It’s gross - and if anyone ever meets someone who does that sh!t to you or others…. Run. And don’t look back.

There is a video of OJ Simpson doing it - he full on bursts out laughing. It’s horrible.
