Yes the lesson was good practice I wish you keep it doing shadowing as much as possible because it's can be give benefit for us to improve listening skills as well not only speaking skills , I will choice UK slang I know so difficult but I will try , thank you my teacher.🙏

Betsi, so good, but my little tip for you is, go easy on grammar/functional words. They should be all unstressed and most vowels reduced to the schwa. an, and, the, of, some, do, has, have, would etc. Even you could blend them. A cup of tea. ኧካፐ ቲ. Also your word stress is nonexistent (flat) on main words. Re'cord and 'record are d/t (verb and noun)

Does it necessarily be a monologue? Why do you think one has to pick a particular individual. After all English is sort of standard with the Elites. No problem if you speak like Denzel or Barak. You make it sound like music. Whitney vs Celine Dion. Accent is more than pronunciation. It has pitch, intonation, stress, range and resonance. So no need to shadow. Better to use the IPA symbols and sounds, not individuals
