The scores were so high, that's how it should be for the top finalists. Some of the contestants still looked a bit trampy, but Lou Parker definitely deserved to be on top. She has a great personality and is definitely classy.

I agree that Lu's dress was definitely better here then the one at Miss Universe. I also think Miss Philippeans looks better here, especially the hair, then at Miss Universe. Dress was better too

+Jaycat2013 You won't believe this, but Lu grew up 3 houses down from me (small town in SC) - and she has been an extraordinary girl since she was 6! Of course, we didn't appreciate it that young. She NEVER had an "awkward phase." While everyone else was going through that, she was modeling and winning pageants - and making it look easy. Listen to the crowd when her score comes up. If I had $1 for every time that girl rode to school with us . . . She's an anchor at KTLA in L.A. now . . .

They also have 2 titles as you've mentioned, and that's the same number Brazil has, one more then Colombia (which I think should have had 4 by now), and more then most of the South American countries.

I am sorry but I totally disagree. Virginia was very pretty but the evening gown competition and consistent answers won it for South Carolina. Kenya Moore, Lu Parker and Chelsi Smith all deserved to win. Virginia was pretty but South Carolina was more beautiful and that is why she won.
