Making my QUEEN ANNA Cosplay! ~ Ohayocon 2020

Here's a video detailing my making of Queen Anna's dress for this year's Ohayocon! I saw the movie about a month before the con (mid December ish?) and immediately added the cosplay to my lineup. I made this over the course of the month, and finished it the morning that I wore it (in the hotel lol!) I'm happy with how it turned out. For the next time I wear it I'll try to get the cape done! :D
For the music, I alternated between the Arendelle Field Theme and Arendelle Battle Theme from Kingdom Hearts 3!

I thought so too! I wanted it to drag behind me, since I didn't have time to finish the cape before I wore it. (Also I think trains are pretty anyway! :D)

If youre going to make the dress again, I would recommend that the train be longer and the cape be a bit longer than the train to be dramatic and regal looking.

How did you get the bolero jacket to fit? I was following along with the same pattern but the front has no give. I did sew the back since it's a mock up; maybe that's why?

@@azurekate_ Oh, on the front where it kind of criss crosses at the chest. I tried cutting my fabric but it didnt work out, and wouldnt line up, but I was practicing with cotton.

@@laurel.cosplay234 I'm still a *little* confused what you mean, but the bottom layer is the same as the top layer so the fabric criss-crosses all the way from one corner to the other, and there are velcro closures on both sides to keep the underneath part from sliding down. Does that make sense? Sorry XD

If you’re not supposed to sew the blue part on to the jacket, how do you attach it?

You are supposed to sew it. But the thread should not be visible. I just didn’t do it right haha. But I’ve seen people do it both ways so I don’t think it matters too much.

I haven't ever done a commission before but if it was for something that there was a pattern for then I would maybe try it! I haven't ever sewn anything for someone other than myself so without a pattern I wouldn't be totally confident haha.
