@@quintork4100 OMG , After seeing your comment I really feel sad yet so happy you overcome with what you had been, I myself committed suicide as my divorce but failed so I even tried many ways to shorten my life but people advice me of we don't own our lives ourselves is like God given present or just think how hard our parents give birth to us and how we repay them so please reconsider there must be someone always loved and cared about us, okay !! I appreciate all of the uploads on this channel, but this series was on a completely different level from most of the others. Kiichi Hogan, produced by Katsu, was close to this level. A few other series were pretty good (eg, Zankuro), and some just barely watchable (eg, Yoshimune). What set this apart was a little bit of everything from the stories, dialogue, sets, cinematography, directon to the great acting. It's one of the best drama series I've seen in any language.

There's a reference about thirty minutes into this episode to a scene from the first Lone Wolf and Cub movie, "Lone Wolf and Cub : Sword of Vengeance". Shintaro Katsu (who portrays Ichi in this series and the 25 Zatoichi movies) was the real life younger brother of Tomisaburo Wakayama, who is Ogami Itto/Lone Wolf in the Lone Wolf and Cub films.
