There was an official add-on that explored bilgewater. It's called Dark Tides of Bilgewater and even though it was erased from dndbeyond you can still find the PDF around. It includes monsters and 3 extra class paths (Pyke-inspired barbarian path, Miss fortune-inspired fighter path and Twisted fate-inspired rogue path) along with many champions and bounty from runeterra. It even includes glimpses of the shadow isles and the harrowing

D&D is also about monsters. They take 1/3 of the core manuals. League is exclusively about people.

Ah, that was my mistake in the understanding. I thought the lanes was the 3rd level because of arcane. I believe the water tower scene in episode 6 takes place in the sump since its dark and thats where the people affected by shimmer hide.

Yeah it's a little ambiguous but Arcane doesn't seem to differentiate its levels in the same way. The Lanes seem to be used to just refer to a specific area in the Undercity though. I definitely think a decent chunk of scenes in Arcane take place in the sump-equivalent!

No, the difference is that topsiders are bound to not do much sh't to the population, while f*ckin' zaunites turn their population into junkies, enslave them to work on their factories and k'll them when they have no use

Pretty disappointing to see everyone in the comments saying Zaun is just like X real world place. Zaun represents the working class as a whole, globally. It’s not specifically Latin America, it’s not specifically China, Detroit, New York; it’s all of them. The beauty of Piltover and Zaun is that the concept is purely about the class relationship, and can be applied to every corner of the real world.

Never knew about and what Zaun is until now, I read it in Zeri’s lore that’s she’s part of the working class in there. All the green and chemtech stuff all makes sense now, I never noticed it on Warwick’s splash art as well 💀 all the other characters with chemtech used on them as part of their design all makes sense now.

The East and West Valoran bit threw me for a loop. Wasn't the divide similar to the Panama Canal where it's separating Valoran (The northern continent) and Shurima (The Lower continent)

It was! But if you think about it this way: before, to trade between the west and east sides of Valoran, you had to sail around Shurima as well. So this really expedited the process!

The wealthy in piltover deriving their technology from the souls of innocent creatures is a pretty natural parallel to the real worth rich deriving their wealth and power from the work of mistreated employees. I’m still confused because in episode 4 Vi and Caitlyn are directly seen in piltover (the scene where caitlyn has tickets for the bathysphere) as Vi looks down at the undercity then she jumps right into the undercity then parkours herself into the lanes. If they are separated by a bridge then how was vi directly able to jump into the undercity if they weren’t in the promenade part but in piltover??
