It was just bad play calling. They played as if they were down by 35 points in the first half. No clue why they weren’t trying to run the ball on first down more, especially with the rain. Even trying to throw and taking sacks on 3rd and 1. That’s not usual Ravens football.

The coaching and playcalls were the problem, other then Macdonald. John and monken were calling the wrong plays that weren’t working and not the plays that were working all season. Taking what made us great all season and throwing it out of the window in the postseason, sound familiar? 6 touches from our rbs and throwing deep balls down the sideline like we were down 20. Flowers had one less carry then both our running backs, a WR had one less carry then our fucking rbs. I don’t even hold all the blame on Lamar Or flowers at all. Lamar shouldn’t of been put into the position he was in to begin with. He didn’t play this way all season and he really never has, so why now. It’s like He tried to out “quarterback” Mahomes rather then just doing what he’s best at. Which falls onto the plays being called it by monken. seemed like Greg Roman was back yesterday. I hope this team learns tremendously and get back there

Fumble and interception happened in the 4th quarter. Regardless of the turnovers, we had 7 points through 3 quarters of football. Abandon the run? We never began running. And why would we? We're only the best running team in the league against a massively below average run D. So much more logical to drop back 82% of all plays and keep going with the slow-developing pass plays that got us nowhere against a Top 2-3 pass D. And we just kept doing it. The 21m to 9m time of possession domination and 10-point fall behind at halftime should have been a clear indicator to change course. Worst botch of an offensive gameplan that I can recall. Just embarrassing that Harbaugh and Monken gave us this turd of a game. It's not the players' faults. They're just collateral damage from the atrocious coaching that we saw on Sunday. It'll be a miracle if we can keep Gus Edwards with how badly we've screwed him in the playoff games, just marginalizing him when he should have had 25 touches in this one. If I'm him, I'm going to a place that will value his contributions more. Just a bust of a season.

He pushed his opponent down (who happens to be one of the best corners in the league, the guy who forced the fumble) while he was already down, threw the ball beside him, and humiliated him in front of the world. Josh Allen got a taunting penalty for pointing. Tyreek Hill got a taunting penalty for throwing a peace sign. This was the easiest taunting call of the season. The fumble doesn't bother me...its going to happen sometimes. The taunting penalty was EASILY avoidable, completely within his control...it is his fault, and only his fault. It was the difference between 1st and goal, and 1st and 10 at the 30. I hope it felt good in the moment...because it cost the team a lot. I hope he learns from it, because he's a massive talent.

Zay no need to feel bad about any mistake you made , your where literally the only guy that showed up on the offense . The taunting call had already gotten to a point of frustration because no one else on the offense was doing jack sh*t

Zay was very good but in big games you can’t beat yourself, you need to control your emotions and stay composed. Ravens was never out of the game but they acted like they are losing with 30 points.
@fredlingenfelser256711 ай бұрын
Exactly. The play calling with all those long passes in the rain made no sense. The run game was non existent, not because it was shut down, but because they never tried. They didn’t have that typical Ravens blue collar look on offense.

He made the right play - Harbs said they teach "two hands going into the end zone." The guy just made a better play. It's sports. I was more upset about the personal foul taunting call - can't do that, esp. against the Chiefs. He had a great first year. He'll learn from the experience and be a better player in the future. Head up, Zay. Ravens fans have your back. Next year.

Many lessons for this young man, all in the span of one game. Maintain composure, don't get too loose with the ball, don't injure yourself on the sideline, don't get too overly focused on end zone dances, etc.

We wouldn't have been in that game if not for Zay. His "mistakes" were the result of passion. And they were mistakes. But he will learn from them and channel that passion. This man will be in the Ravens Ring of Honor one day. He is a superstar on the field and a great story off the field. We need to rally around him.

Kid with so much potential but chose the wrong moment to flex(rookie mistake). I thought the Ravens really suffered from a lack of leadership in the game against the Chiefs and lost their composure at times when it was hugely needed and became one dimensional. That was the difference Mahomes and co kept their composure but Ravens didn't and it is a shame because the Ravens faithful came in fully ready to support their team.

Chiefs only scored 17 points. Ravens lost this game because of their offensive issues / chiefs D. Chiefs didn’t score in the second half, and gave the Ravens every opportunity to win the game, but Lamar’s boneheaded throw into triple coverage and Flowers’ taunting penalty / fumble really set the tone for the loss.
