I'm 15, and while I wasn't ever really a one direction fan but I listen to a lot of "teeny" sort of pop music, and I love Zayn's style and voice. And I think everyone sees Zayn as a special sort of talent. Plus R&B is more popular with teens nowadays.

Most backup vocals who work with major artists are black women because black women are renouned for their soulful voices , they are only doing what they’ve always been doing. Also there sooo many female guitarists in other music genres like rock , folk and country. So it’s not really that innovative on the whole but may appear to be in an RnB genre. Also Robert Palmer had a video called “ Addicted to Love” which show cased an all female band playing instruments behind him. The guitarist standing right behind Zane is reminiscent of that video , from the way she is styled, hair , makeup and the shape of her guitar and the way she moves to the beat! She has a fantastic stage presence !I think the whole band set up is awesome! The girls are rocking that stage!
