Here's a suggestion, try a drawing in the Shintani style? It seems difficult to replicate because while the art itself is a little more simple (most of the time), as it's geared more towards animation than still art, but the attention to anatomy in his style is incredibly unique! I really love shintani's style and seeing you attempt to replicate it would be awesome!
