Wrong histories presented here by Makoni. Firstly, Chipunza and Muswere were brothers and not otherwise. Sabarawara is their father and Gunguwo is a grandfather. Chirara is also not a brother of Makoni. He is a son of Makoni. Chirara's chieftainship is found in both Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Ndiye muridzi wenyika inonzi Bvumba. I'm from the line of Chirara myself. However when we were growing up vana Mai vedu vaititenda vachiti maita Makoni and meaning we are from that lineage. Power struggles must never be used as an excuse to distort our history. DP Abrahams wrote a very comprehensive history of the Makoni chieftainship. I think people can make use of that article for much detailed information about our dynasty. Reason why DP Abrahams version is more correct is that his informants were much more older people than Gwasira. The research was done in the 1950s. There's also a document in the National Archives whereby Makoni Makama told a native commissioner in 1939 that Chirara was his headman . The native commissioner described him as crazy, but analytically, what Makama was simply saying was that Chirara was a son to Makoni of which we all know he is.
