Honestly, perpetual license is the only thing that will make it even remotely considerable as competition to Nomad Sculpt. Nomad is catching up to Zbrush in terms of features, while also being a lot more user-friendly in general. Furthermore, Sparseal's working on their own suite of 3D tools for iPad.

If they have the ZB perpetual on ipad, i am going to get an ipad.
@hound_of_justice8 ай бұрын
I dont think so, If ZBrush on iPad gets even nearly close to its "mother" on desktop people will use it, at least those that enjoy and rely using ZBrush in their workflow. Nomad couldnt be nearly there if ZBrush on iPad is implemented nearly well enough as the desktop app.

@@hound_of_justice I both agree and disagree. I agree because people who are used to ZBrush only stand to benefit from getting a portable version when they want to. I disagree because Im guessing that most ipad artists are hobbyists. People who want to do 3D for fun or learning already balk at anything that is too expensive, which a subscription of any kind could be. Personally speaking, CSP only having a sub model on iPad is why I gave up on it. Granted there are professional artists that use iPad, but I've only heard of those being 2D artists using Procreate. It's something I'd need to look into further before determining further.

@@hound_of_justicebut that will only be a selected few that are already a hardcore user….i think they will be pushing to get more new users with the iPad version and if that’s so, then a perpetual license will be most ideal…..I HATE SUBSCRIPTION!

Hi, dear, I hope you are well. I saw that your KZbin videos are very lovely ry helpful. You have enough of the videos but your video is not getting views because there is some problem with your videos. Your SEO score is very poor (0% out of 100)and you need optimization for better results. If you update the videos then the views of the video will increase. If you want you can discuss with me. Thanks

I'm honestly very excited to see what Maxon does with zbrush on the iPad, I think it's necessary to have professional tools on this device to consider it valuable. I certainly hope we get a zbrush core with a little more tools and it would be amazing. Something that we should definitely have are polygroups, neither nomad nor Forger have anything similar and I think it is essential.

Totally agree! poly groups would be essential

I would love to see freehand cutting hole with knife. In ZBrush generally, not only for i-pad. Its ridiculous that main sculpting software in the industry cant do that. 3DCoat can, Blender can, Nomad can. Zbrush? No nooo, you can cut hole in 17 different ways EXCEPT for just knife. Also some normal measuring. Same thing - I miss it in desktop too. Nomad shows it is possible to have normal measure tool. By "normal I mean not the usual ZB "but you can use transpose line if you set set the scale - just watch out if you have zeroed export value and you know, zbrush likes most to work in that particular scale so then you have to multiply by..." BS :D Just give me measuring tool for crying out loud. Now last thing. I dont own ipad, I cant justify its price for usefulness and in general if I am out the house I am not looking at screen. I dont own the mobile phone either. I can watch screen when I come back. Anyways - I am not looking forward to ZB on ipad at all. But its existence saddens me because I feel like the next release of ZB will be really weak. It will surely be all about i-pad version. So similarly to situation when they added Red Shift and presentation of new version turned into talking about Red Shift - there will be very little for me to be happy about. I have zero need for anything mobile. Maybe 0.01 - sometimes I wish I could call my wife to ask from the shop what she told me 3 times to buy and I forgot...

okay this one is SUPER BASIC BUT the one big thing I'm looking forward to is a version of Zbursh with better navigation controls. Touch/Gesture controls. I'm hoping that will also make it back into Zbrush Desktop as I'm assuming there will be a New Version of Zbrush + the APP that are required to work together. With more and more Drawing Displays incorporating touch controls its time for Zbrush / Blender to get on board with basic touch controls. As for the Zbrush app I can only assume this initial release will be fairly basic and focus mostly like you said on core sculpting with a handful of brush options to compete with Nomad. Sparseal is also releasing their iPad modeling app soon as well.

Some of the basic brushes, Zmodeler and polygroups, a UI that is not overly cluttered and doesn't require a keyboard. It should be close to normal Zbrush in the way it is used, so it doesn't feel like a completely different beast. But tbh the thing that I worry mostly about is the UI and the User experience.
