I said my prayers alot better when I was 3. After my babcia passed when I was 21 I stopped talking polish alot. She was the one to teach me everything. Unfortunately I had a bad accident when I was 28 and lost alot of long term memory. I needed to hear this to remind me. Thankyou and God bless.

Oh, Thank you, Father! My goal is to be able to pray the rosary in Polish like my grandmother and her mother did. My grandmother, born 1911, attended St. Stanislaus School in Buffalo and received a completely bi-lingual education. She used to volunteer to write letters for hospitalized Polish immigrants to their families back in Poland. I can read Polish slightly and your moderately slow and clear pronunciation is helpful.

Nice goal, Are you still learning the rosary in Polish? I'm still trying to read the Hail Mary after three weeks. I'm not sure why I'm trying to. But, it has occurred to me that my parents and their friends are the third generation from Poland, and after them there will be no Polish spoken in our town.

@@kurtpokorzynski9327Yes, very sad to realize what was once a thriving American Polonia is so down in numbers. Now I do know the 3 main prayers of the rosary in Polish by heart. The Apostles' Creed and the Salve Regina I was able to transcribe into a phonetic alphabet that I can read and pronounce at least in order to say the entire rosary in Polish. It was a lot of work including slowing to half speed while listening to the speaker and repeating it many times. I think it would be helpful to learn it somewhat and then have a Polish person correct anything you are not pronouncing right. It helps that I understand most of what I am saying. One can always make the goal of learning one prayer in Polish. That alone is fairly easy and quite satisfying. I don't think that Father had the Creed and the Salve so I had to listen to a girl that prayed the rosary in Polish. Father's pronunciation was so very clear and easy to learn from. That helped so much.

Thank you Father. I went to St Joseph Shrine in Stirling New Jersey yesterday. There was a contingent of Polish priests also visiting. We prayed the rosary in Polish and English. It felt like a visit from my late Polish grandmother. She never taught us Polish so I would like to learn some of the prayers now in order to honor her and feel close to her once again. Your video is very helpful because you pray the Hail Mary so clearly and slowly. I am most grateful and hope to pray in Polish when I visit Our Lady of Częstochowa Shrine in Pennsylvania someday soon. God bless you
