Just saw them live, and now I, after 20 years of listening to metal, I can only say this: best black metal concert of my life and one of the best metal shows I have ever seen! @Lewis Williams I went to see baroness and when we got to the music hall I went to take a shit, and they started while I was in the stall and I was like "WTF IS GOING ON OUT THERE?" Was so enthralled by their sound, which I think calling it black metal is stupid, they've got as much in common with the Civil Wars as they do Dimmu, that I ordered their live album. One of the best live albums I've ever heard. People really gotta stop trying to pigeonhole bands into all these stupid sub genres, it diminishes the music.
@williamroan55765 жыл бұрын
@Lewis Williams Nah dude I wasn't accusing you, lol, just generalizing. And I'd say Deafheaven, then Zeal&Ardor, with Baroness headlining. But when you have a tour like that it'd kinda behoove everyone to rotate night to night, that way everyone gets enough rest.

As a general rule it is my favorite way to experience a band. I loved going to shows and concerts back when they were a thing, but listening to a live performance with an audience usually sucks. This way you get to feel the emotion of their actual performance without the annoying cheers and loss of quality.

@demon1c guy Either you're very young to know originality or you're a professional musician who thinks the world denies him the recognition he/she is entitled to. This is not the run of the mill rock/metal I listen to in most of youtube and/or other platforms. This band has something very original and this is a very hard thing to do after all these years. Their recognition is not that great anyway, but it's very well deserved.
