I am new to FM, at my second savegame now, where I try to take York to PM. After two seasons I have gained two promotions and have reached league 2, but money is short and every transfer count. And since I cant afford the really good players I have to go through a "guessing game" every time I try to get someone in. So this video sounds promising,at least before I start watching it. Hopefully I can learn something :)

Ok, here's a question wrapped in a question. Any advice on getting rid of highly influential players, one of who is the current captain, but none of who are good enough to carry on after promotion? And while we're at that, any tips for handling promotion to a higher league?

In the beginning sign free players and get a few loans then sell the free signings in a year or 2. Use the money to find 16-17 year olds with great potential. You develop them and sell them for 100mil (not that hard in football) with that money you find 10-12 wonderkids that will set you up for the future. You will never need money again. after a few billion in the bank you will start to keep your best talents.

A lot of your videos are useful for smaller clubs but could you do video about if you come into a big club where you have high exceptions but low budgets? Twice in my save I’ve come into two clubs which have asked me to challenge for the title but with very old fairly weak squad and then given me lousy transfer budgets and 20% sell on. Brazilian wonder kids to be developed over multiple seasons won’t cut it and the European elite players can be afforded. Really useful videos btw! I’ve been playing for a few years and I’ve learnt so much.

I rarely take a save past 5-10 years, and I think it's because my immersion breaks when I start seeing more regen faces than real. I have a question - I get amazing youth prospects from the intake every year, but I have no staff on my U19 and B team except for head coaches (the max salary I can offer is much lower than the min salary the staff want) But my senior team staff is amazing. I'm afraid keeping them in my u19 squad will hinder their process. Should I move the youth players to my senior team? I could make them available for B team and U19 matches.
