I hear everyone lamenting the assail psyker, and to be honest I feel like these are carrying the new players through malice and heresy level maps. Which has led to many instances of having undergeared/leveled characters joining damnations and auric level maps and either tanking the run as a worse bot or just being dead weight for 90 percent of the map.

@Starlesslight yep the carrying effect that assail has in the easier content gives a huge false sense that you can be carried through anything. I still try to bring them along but if they go down multiple times in the first couple pulls I just call it there.

When I see one or more assail psykers in the group, I dont even bother trying to get horde kills. I just sit back, relax, let the psyker wipe the trash while I keep an eye out for specials and elites, and wait for the psyker to blow himself up the moment he has to do something more than spam seeking autoheadshot projectiles

On the Emperor being a tyrant, For all his flaws and asshole decisions, he remains a benevolent leader. I wouldn't call him a tyrant because he refrained from taking control of humanity for millennia and only did so in Humanity's darkest hour, saving it in the process and then reuniting it in an attempt to reach its full potential. He attempted to create a human webway so humanity could travel the galaxy safely and easily. Even now, after the Heresy, he sits on the throne, enduring ten thousand years of agony to protect and guide humanity. He cant even control the Imperium and yet still endures suffering beyond our capacity to understand, a sacrifice unrivaled in all the 40k verse. I can't call someone who does that a tyrant.

As a Veteran main I just let them do their thing, until the psychic shard pinging off the carapace armour then I will start shooting. With the right build Revolver pretty much 3 shots every carapace armour even Crusher.

I had the same problem with assail psykers on my team, especially when I try playing a psyker. Then I realized its the only psyker tree that doesn't suck, so I get why its spammed. The head pop is too slow, build peryl too much and doesn't do a lot of damage and the Palpatine cosplay is only good for stunning, and why stun when you can just clear a horde or unload weapons and melee on tough enemies? Like, assail is just too good, and its weakness is a joke- "weak against carapace", like it isn't as if only TWO enemies in this game have carapace?

@@georgevatkov3213 I think people doesn't understand how powerful Bio-lighting are. Be able to cc half of the battlefield + debuff all the enemies you cc with 10% extra damage is huge in Damnation. Not to mention shock cancelling push enemies back get a second for quell the perils, switch to staff and nuke the hoard or turnaround and shock the other side.

Catachan Combat Blade/Dagger, Full right side of the Zealot tree, Revolver for sniping elites and specials. You can one shot everything except a boss, monster/demonhost and Crusher, you kill a crusher in 2-3 hits after coming out of stealth. It's insanely fast and good, with a ton of toughness reduction and recovery, so you spam dodge and either light or heavy attacks to sweep hordes and heavies to kill everything else. Since the shield of a boss doesn't count as flesh, it doesn't break stealth, allowing you to keep hitting it for juicy damage. The other amazing builds for Zealot is Bonk Zealot with full left tree, then middle capstone and thunder hammer, at low enough health you one shot the boss with charged + power + ability the moment the shield drops. Middle Zealot is great for helping team, especially a good vet that deals with ranged, elites and specials or a psyker that needs the peel. Plus holy fire grenades don't damage your team and are great at clearing hordes. Top 3 melee weapons: Catachan dagger Heavy Eviscerator Thunderhammer Top 3 ranged weapons: Revolver Flamer Boltgun Zealot is amazing, not as OP as some Psykers or a Vet with Krak Grenades/Ogryn with Frag and point blank. But if you play smart, you clutch situations that were lost to any other class. Making use of speed and stealth allows you to pick fights and out play every enemy

The reason Support Zealot is the worst of the three is that it's only really good if the other players in your team make use of it and are skilled. Like why reduce your own to amplify them if you can just go Assail Psyker or Stealth Zealot?

I'm on the fence ifget darktide; never played vermentide (i admit) and kinda a newbie on warhammer (loved the video bricky) and played a bunch of Mechanicus. Is the game good even if you have no friends to play with? Also an old 1060 will hold or is the game a bit too much for it? If i recalled bricky mentioned was a lil high in spects, but not sure if they ironed out em or i'll just need an upgrade first.

Zealot AKA Walking War Crimes Incarnate AKA My Beloved. Heavy Eviscerator and a Boltgun or Shotgun and I am set. I love how this game recognizes where you hit, I swing at a leg they fall down or off, I swing at a head...well you get the idea. I really liked the Flamer but don't get why we couldn't get a heavier version that just unleashes a torrent of fire instead of imitating Puff the Magic Dragon! Every weapon should have 3 different variations like Puff level to Smaug, Desolator of Kingdoms level! :P

the charms you buy before thirty are very important for I tend stack hp as the primary benefit, then refine with bonus toughness and bonus XP it speeds up leveling so much that I always gained a level in no more than two missions even at above trust 20.

Lightning and Brainburst are getting buffs assail is getting a slight nerf. Wouldn’t call that across the board though numbers aren’t final and things might change. The Assail nerf is needed, and I play assail - though mainly because it fixes Surge (i love that staff) weakness against unarmored and horde. I try not to spam it when no horde is around because it feels so cheesy. I just hope the nerf is enough w/o breaking Assail as an anti horde tool.

Fans tend to think that anyone has time for a pep talk while conquering the galaxy and managing an interstellar empire. Any sort of "education" that could have been done was lost the moment Erda threw the Primarchs into the Warp. Try changing the mind of a son that you have happened to discover 30+ years after his birth , regardless if he was fucked up or not. It is a miracle that he managed to take in all 20 primarchs without any of them fighting actively against him and a imo a missplaced sense of mercy or empathy that he didnt get rid of the more problematic primarchs immediately like Lorgar or Curze.
