I'm so glad I bought the Earfun Uboom X. You, Jay's Straight Up Reviews and Speakerblowupman Lee convinced me. I did receive a defective unit, but swapped it out, and it's been great. I like it so much that I actually sold my two JBL Partybox Encores and all of my other big boomboxes, because the Uboom X is the absolute Goldilocks. Price, size, weight, bass, fidelity, loudness, usbc, waterproof, even looks... It's just right. And even at 80% volume, it's LOUD and proud.

Yeah it is an awesome speaker and for the price you can't really get anything better ha ha, it's light and packs a serious punch for sure

I can only confirm that. The UBOOM X is not a speaker that sounds good for its price, but a speaker that sounds sensationally good for a portable Bluetooth speaker. It has hi-fi qualities and it's a pleasure to sit in front of it and consciously listen to music. This thing sounds so good that it regularly puts a grin on your face. But I have to admit that the Hopestar also performs very well in this sound comparison. But this thing is one size bigger.

Hey Jagist, I've tried all of Oluv's eqs, including the Boom XXX, on my UBoom X, and honestly to my ears, my own custom eq that is very V shaped blows all of the preset eq's away. If you haven't already tried something similar, give it a go and report back whether you disagree or agree.

I've been messing around with the cutom eq and trying to figure a great one out so I can start using it, it does seem like it can handle itself better on custom eq without as much distortion and dsp issues at max volume which is great

I also prefer my own EQs. However, I mainly listen at a low to medium volume.

@dl6kq I'm definitely going to make my own eq for it, it honestly is one of the best listening Speakers at low and medium volumes
