Hi Davi, Thank you for the effort on the review, but regarding the Edelkrone do you think have a single device connected to control their System is a way forward to go and as it seems more of a complete modular package system overall and a kind of " Jack of all trade system" ? l know it's expensive, but it's a complete system and regarding update it's all a good practice to run all updates prior any paid gig, Your opinion is appreciated. Thank You

I’ve owned the original small slider with motor option, Edelkrones sliderPlus with pan & tilt heads, as well as the jibOne (original) with PanPro and remote. When it works it’s wonderful, but it’s so finicky I can’t recommend it for professional use. And yes: update firmware prior to a job, but there are other issues that have led me to sell everything Edelkrone (bad battery management by lazy engineers: the remote dies sometimes in mere hours (yes; fresh duracell batteries) because the multiple frustrations over years of actual real world use. I don’t want to disparage any company, and maybe the latest versions of everything have fixed some of my gripes, but there are better, faster in use and far more reliable options on the market that have not totally replaced what the Edelkrone system can do (they are the best at accurate, repeatable motion), but does it so much better that I actually use them. Hope this helps.

I literally just threw my Edelkrone in the trash. It was awesome for about a year but somehow Edelkrone made it virtually unusable through “updates”. Speed would be a complete coin toss, it could not repeat movement, input points would change on a whim, and it juttered at random points. Their support has been non existent, unless you call “we’re always trying to improve” email responses as support.

Sorry your experience with E has been as frustrating as mine. Conceptually great gear … that is cumbersome to setup, clunky in design (you get a battery, and you get a battery and you get a battery!) and. sadly, unreliable.

@@BrandonTalbot Thank you for the comment on that ! I’m now looking into the collaboration between from DJI & ifootage micro slider nano ll which you can integrate the DJI Ronin Gimbals . There is no many videos on YT at the moment but seems quit promising system integration with a very good price .

@@dqstudios Any plans on a video from the ifootage micro slider nano ll which you can integrate the DJI Ronin Gimbals ? 🤓 Would be great to see a review on that. Thkx

How fast is the slider? I need something with a bit of speed.

Not fast. The video shows it at max speed.

Many complaints about the previous model are about the sound and noise (even at 40%+) - it sounds quiet in the video - is that true in reality?
@dqstudios
@dqstudios 9 күн бұрын
Yes: I didn't find it louder than any other motorized slider I own (Edelkrone, Accsoon etc.). Entirely usable for interviews at a reasonable distance to subject.

How’s the non motor operation with a proper tripod head? Possible and smooth?
@dqstudios
@dqstudios 21 күн бұрын
Smooth yes: but without a flywheel for inertia, I find the easing in and out the hardest to control well. I still prefer my Syrp Pro with its integrated flywheel in the tripod base, but it's heavier and I don't like the motorization options. So far there's no one-slider that can do it all best, but each one has its strength. Sorry to not have better news.

How Long is your Slider?
@dqstudios
@dqstudios Ай бұрын
I have the 100mm version which can move the camera 80cm. When it arrived I was shocked at how long it was, but I do like this distance - very usable for a lot of things, and lighter than my 2ft (non-motorized) syrp pro .

I honestly never even downloaded it haha It’s soooo refreshing not to need an app to control my slides especially since I’m using my phone as a monitor with the excellent update to Sony’s M&C
