Keep in mind that the Swarm Disaster started from a single bug from a near extinct species, ascended into the Aeon Tazzyronth and began self-replicating itself en masse in an attempt to never be alone again

@@joshbrosh6626 yeah. In hindsight, Qlipoth killing Tazzyronth seems odd. Qlipoth is the Aeon of Preservation. THEY are the embodiment to preserve the universe and everything in it,the direct opposite of Nanook. And Aeons cannot go against their Path less they die. Qlipoth probably did smacked around Tazzy, but before THEY can finish the Swarm Author, the Amber Lord thought that by killing Tazzy, THEY would dry a species to extinction. So, the best compromise Qlipoth could do at the moment was to seal Tazzyronth and stopped more bugs from increasing, especially Emanators of Propagation

Kind of reminds me a little of the von Neumann probes from the X series. Self-replicating terraformers that began exterminating life because a botched firmware update set them to terraform everything, even living creatures. Point being: never trust self-replication.

“Her Majesty” is Empress Titania, who was the leader of Glamoth. She had a psychic link to all of the Iron Cavalry which allowed her to control them.

Glamoth created an artificial human known as The Empress to lead their military efforts. She had no real political power, but was psychically tied to all the Iron Cavalry pilots like Firefly so that they never questioned an order. They were utterly indoctrinated to follow her as if she were a supreme being. The Empress launched a war of expansion and consolidation to bring the border worlds of Glamoth space under compliance, but ended up encountering the Swarm and getting their attention. After a long, bloody war, this is the end result. And if you think that sounds a lot like Warhammer, the Emperor, the Legio Astartes, and the Great Crusade... except they encounter the Tyranids instead of Chaos... yeah, it does, doesn't it? Oh, also, this was about 100,000 years ago if the timelines published out there are right. Firefly spent a long, long time floating in stasis in space.

There's a _lot_ of 86 vibes. Also eva and saikano. Never having played into the xenoblade games, I'm now inclined based on your response to start that. Her Majesty : The Republic of Glamoth, in order to fight the Swarm, decided that they would alter humanity in order to fight. They created/imprisoned Titania, the "Empress," trapped in essentially a fiction and who had a telepathic link with her "knights"-genetically modified clones, born to fight, born to die for her Majesty. Titania herself had no power over the Republic, ostensibly, but was essentially used as a machine to fight the Republic's enemy of the swarm. That fiction that they fed her was about the Empire of Glamoth that Titania was the head of. Sent out to conquer the stars and fighting their rival the Swarm. She was trapped in this fiction, believing that she was an empress who conquered the stars, and this is what the Knights believed in turn. Eventually, though, Titania discovered her imprisonment. The people of the Republic of Glamoth began to see the Iron Cavalry with fear… and the people of Glamoth who were not the Iron Cavalry slowly diminished. They began to look upon the Knights much as they looked upon the Swarm. When the Swarm was driven back and the "all clear" was sounded what dawned was not a new day but, in the words of the Glamoth set, "another sunless night."
