Love the captions you’re putting on the vids these days. A bloke can actually learn a lot from your tips. Very informative. My local SF has fallow and a few reds but also a lot of traffic making the deer very hard to find. I’ll take all the tips I can get haha

That standoff was something! When I'm in the bush I'll often sense little thumps. They're so subtle that I'm not sure if I'm hearing them or feeling them. Are these possible the deer stamping there feet in the distance before making a quiet getaway?

Quite possible, a lot of the time they will stamp their feet without honking.

What did old mate think of the outrak treeline tent? Does it withstand winter in VHC? Do you have any recommendations on a 2p tent?

The tent is mine, I like it for the price. It is a little weighty for carrying, hence mine is in a drum up the bush. It is a 2P tent. I don't ever camp in snow so can't comment on that but for all other winter camps this tent works well.
