okay so that's how you know this is a catchy song, I've probably only listen to it four times yesterday, but I woke up with it stuck in my head. That's when I realized I haven't had anything stuck in my head in a long time. I just couldn't stop saying the chorus. And hey it's a positive message so that's awesome thank you!

Zebrahead will never be the same without Greg Bergdorf. Those funk influences and his incredible guitar work cannot be replaced. Stuff like "Feel This Way" is light years ahead of the bubblegum pop punk this lineup is doing now.

***** I'm talking about Waste of Mind, their first label album. Speaking as an adult who first got into Zebrahead as a kid, the funk infused songs feel much more mature than the bubble gum pop/metal songs they've been doing lately.

Thank god i'm not the only one to Feel this Way (pun intended). They had so much potential in Waste of Mind. The funk+rap+rock combination was insane, somewhat similar to RHCP but with more energy. Afterwards they continued to produce generic punk rock sounding no different than all the other "teen-rock" bands. They're still good, no question 'bout that, but they ain't gonna Get Back (dem puns) to the level they were back then.

Bernhard Winkler Well said. All these years later I'm still electrified by the guitar work on that album. The solo on "The Real Me" is one of my favorites of all time, and I love the way it morphs from tasty blues-funk to melodic metal in the blink of an eye. Feel This Way is gloriously funky, and the solos on that song are also some of my all-time favorites. Bergdorf does that "question/answer" thing with the guitar on that track, and his technique is world class with that ultra-light muting on some of the phrases to add bite to the solo. I can't overstate how much that influenced me as a young guitarist and how it opened doors for me musically to get into genres I might not have otherwise appreciated. I mean, I saw these guys at a Goldfinger show in 1998 and was immediately won over by how spectacular their performance was.

***** You know what's crazy about that? I saw Zebrahead opening for Goldfinger at a show in 1998, and not only was that the first time I'd ever seen Zebrahead, but there was another opening band called Kara's Flowers. And Kara's Flowers was booed by the audience because they played a really light version of pop/punk/rock. It was so bad that John Feldman got on the mic between sets and told the audience they suck for booing them. But the lead singer of Kara's Flowers was a guy named Adam Levine, who went on to form Maroon 5 and is now a millionaire. Funny how that works.
