My father Bourama Mané, called João Séco Mané ( the name João was imposed upon many native Afrikans who sought a western based education during the portuguese colonial domination); in fact if today the Mandinka Monarchy would be installed in GB my father would be Mansa baa, due to his paternal and maternal lineage. He is known as “Mansa mamareuh fula,” through our oral traditions. Paternally he descends from Bolom Mané, the son of Bakar Maghan, who was the ruler of Tchânia and a son to N´fanmora Mané, the second man behind the Emperor Djanken Waaly Sane, And maternally my father is the son of Cuta Sane (aka Kuta), daughter of Mansa Koly Sane who was a son of Faramba Sissau Sane, the king of Maanah, who was decapitated by his good friend from the Clan of the Fati in Djaiman prior to Turban Kelloh, who upon his return became an extremist muslim. Dear Tyccho Gabu Sarah only exists during the Fulani occupation and rule, the suffix sarah was attached by our fulani brothers to describe the town which means SAREH in fulani, But Mandinka people never say "Gabu Sarah."
