Pastor Murray is and was a great teacher.You need to listen more.I've studied all over.I would not stop studing with him.They why he teaches just to pronunciation of words.Chapter by chapter.Pastor Murray would be the first to say know one is perfect.He said check man out.I studied long enough to know God Blessed Him.

He's definitely wrong here looking at the original Hebrew. Verse 6 isn't talking about Jesus, it's talking about false prophets for false Gods used to do self mutilation. false prophets inflicted wounds on themselves to gain credibility or as part of pagan rituals, which was common in some cultures during that time

I became a Christian through pastor Murray, but this teaching is not correct. In the Hebrew the word used is between his hands. Some bibles translate that as armpits, some as chest, some between hand, and some say hands. This whole verse is talking about false prophets, it's not Jesus.

Elaine p Can you elaborate? Also, which verse specifically? If it's verse 6, then maybe the stress is on the word ONE as referring to the false prophet, addressing Jesus?

Keep learning Hebrew and I guarantee you will leave Christianity. The So called “NT” a theological crime scene. The Jewish scriptures not compatible with the NT and is opposed to the Jewish Scriptures.

@@howardrosen3736 He mistranslated this verse but not all Christians do. We have the Hebrew too. We also have Jewish preachers, many of which have high degrees in educational Biblical Hebrew to combine with their years of Jewish school.
