To be honest, at first I was curious as to how much better you could make the Thinkway one look because I already thought it looked really good, but I couldn't have been proven more wrong! Yours just looks so much better and professional compared to the original more cheap plastic look. Amazing work!

Advice: When making pupils, it's worth considering to use the flat end of an object like a pencil or brush or sculpting tool to get that perfect circle of black. You might need to be careful as it can always end up popping off the eye rather than being flat, but its certainly a tip I live by.

WOW awesome work man! He’s definitely more movie accurate now that now that he doesn’t have the electronics inside of him as he doesn’t have that in the movies. For those that don’t believe me go watch the Toy Story treats for context where Hamm says to Rex “What are you talking about? you don’t even use batteries!” Love the new repainted colors and the articulated jaw is the absolute icing on the cake. Rex is one of my favorites from Toy Story and I would love to own an accurate version of him like this one day. Well done my friend.👍🏻
@zedabyu Жыл бұрын
yeah never understood why they waste their time adding electronics to rex and mr potato than to make them more accurate lol
@therealCrazyJake Жыл бұрын
@@zedabyu I believe Thinkway was just going with the gimmick of making the toys interactive. It’s a fun gimmick, but sacrifices accuracy in doing so. I think this mod would be perfect for the non-electronic Rex that Thinkway released around the same time.

Great work on the modified Rex! While the Collection Rex is a solid reproduction, it's refreshing to see the inaccurate coloration (and lack of glossy finish) both emphasized and rectified. I should also note that the TSC Rex's headsculpt seems to vary in quality between individual toys - the original head sold with yours looks kind of warped, whereas I've seen others in which the shape of the brow and proximity of the eyes is closer to the corrected headshape you printed.
