The Dazzles is one of my least favorite levels from the DS game but the design of the characters were decent enough. In Megamix, however, they look like toddlers with anorexic limbs which look like they shouldn't support those massive heads. I understand that some levels from the DS had to be redesigned aesthetically for Megamix, but The Dazzles just looks, ugh. Pop Singer in Fan Club also looks a bit off in Megamix.

Believe it or not, there's a reason it seems like everyone prefers the original over the Megamix version! In the original, each Dazzle was easily distinguishable from each other. One of them had glasses, one had a hair accessory, they all had different hair colors and lengths, and the one you play as had a different face. In Megamix, you'd be hard pressed to remember what more than half of them look like because they're so similar. None of them have any defining features apart from their hair, and it takes away a lot of the personality. Additionally, the art style they used for the Megamix version just looks worse. Sure, their proportions weren't 100% accurate in the original, but at least it looked plausible. Here, their heads make up half of their bodies. I believe this is due to the choice they made to have their entire bodies visible in the boxes instead of excluding the bottom half of their legs, like in the original. I think that if they did that, the Dazzles wouldn't look nearly as wonky. Also, their foreheads (especially the top middle) are just too big. This is another side affect of the decision to change their proportions to make them fit in the box. Overall, The Dazzles Megamix is a victim of a changed art style and misplaced priorities. I hate everything about this minigame. The way the sound effect for "closing" is slightly delayed, the way the "ehyeah!" when you let go is slightly delayed, the way the game just seems so lazily slapped over the music, the corniness of the music, and how slow it is.

Oh gosh they look more like chibis than people in the Megamix version Wonder why this and Fan Club's English dubs got poor treatment compared to the other DS songs? Spanish announcer, please, at least make the singer audible as well- Italian and Japanese kinda blew the other languages away, probably because they both have at least two ladies singing to fit the group-idol theme Is it bad that this is one of the RH games that's kind of a guilty pleasure for me?
