1. Decktrackers can be quite useful, especially if you are pushing ranks. 2. Lower ranks (in Wild) can be tons of fun. So much awesome value games had in there. Find all minions with 3-attack and 3-health by using the attack:3 health:3 search tag combination.

There's also mana:even and mana:odd, for those times when you want to build a Genn/Baku deck.

'common' and 'rare' are good ones to keep in mind as well, since free2players can be expected to get all of them eventually due to duplicate protection. It's a good way to keep track of your progress on a given set, and knowing when you can stop worrying about purchasing packs for that set and move onto another one.

One other tip is that golden expansion packs also have the rule that you get a legendary within the first 10 packs. It can be easy to get a good dust return on your gold using this. I play wild and I usually get 150 dust on average (if I disenchant everything) per 100 gold I spend using this method.

Thanks! My friends finally convinced me to start. I didn't know they could benefit from adding me/get free decks. I chose the free Reno Warrior deck a month or two ago and have played about 80 games of ladder, 50 of arena. I need help!

Most important tip Zeddy missed is the Community day Twitch drops. Literally afk in any stream and get 10 free packs And if you're not sure when the Community day is, Zeddy's got your back, he will notify us

The video is a preatty good starting point for for beginners. I was just a bit surprised that you didnt mentioned the catch-up packs (and that you should open them asap as a new player) and the loaner decks. It surprised me because you mentioned them in other similar videos most of time. Other than that it is a very good video.

As "free 2 play" i prefer pity timer of golden packs. So atleast i can craft one legendary i rlly want each expansion. Instead of getting 3 random legendaries i dont use.

I forget how the new/returning player track works exactly, but you're going to want to clear as much of that as you can before purchasing some packs, especially for the Catch-up packs, because they're better if you've opened less packs. If at all possible, save any non-catchup pack you have until you've earned all the catch-up packs you can see, and then proceed on. Those packs aren't available anywhere else, so make the best use of them while you can get 'em.

1. don't cannibalize your collection for cards you don't have i have a 93% collection . i every card since Rise of Shadows. that missing 7% is mostly from expansions up to Rastakhan's Rumble because i used to do this very thing. biggest regret was chasing meta decks instead of just grinding gold at low ranks with what i had. i'd probably have a full collection right now if i didnt do that.

best new player advice is to start playing just right when the rotation happens

Right before, I'd say, maybe a couple of weeks or so. That way you get to slurp up the easy levels on the previous Rewards Track, and set up an Arena run because it's probably resetting soon. Usually the free/returning decks update around this time too, so you might be able to catch that with good timing, too.

I don't remember, but is the 10 pack guarantee each expansion linked between golden and regular packs? Or can you open 10 of each to get a golden legendary and a regular legendary?

@@N3mdraz It's got more cards. We can't be SURE they're going to boost the price due to that, but it's a reasonable guess. In my view, there's not a whole lot more cards, so I hope if there is a price boost, it'll be 2500 maybe, 3000 seems a bit high.

Tip from a player since the beginning of the game. Don't spend money on Hearthstone. I have 18,000 dust I got playing for free and I can buy whatever card I want using dust I got for free from disenchanting the free cards I get from playing. Don't spend money on Blizzard games or anything Blizzard related in general they are abusive towards their players and do dirty tricks to lockout people accounts and force them to buy a new one. NO different than those ransomware scammers. Play for free and feel good knowing you didn't invest in a Blizzard game that might ban you with the intent of getting you to spend money on a new account

The best way to get the most out of the game is to not play it. Literally, not playing for 90 days will let you get the returning player rewards of a free pre-constructed deck that is typically crammed with meta-relevant cards (Including several Legendaries) Which is worth more than what you'd normally earn for actually playing for those 90 days.

Given the curated nature of the free deck meaning all the cards you get in it are actually relevant and normally quite good, as opposed to the random stuff you get from a pass (Including all the packs you can buy with pass gold). Add in the fact that you can still get quite a lot of the pass rewards as they're frontloaded to the earlier pass levels, further enhances the benefit of continually taking 90 day breaks.

Literally the opposite - the best way to get the most out of the game is to play it 24/7. 1 pack from the brawl every 7 days, tons of gold & packs from the reward track (and also 3 legendary cards and 3 tavern arena tickets), rewards for your highest reached rank at the end of the season, rewards from events, drops on Twitch, etc. - it is surely way more than the those special returning player's packs and 1 free meta deck with 3-4 legendary cards in it. I mean... at least this is what I think xD I gotta try that incredible method (which is yours) on another account, why not? :)

@@googleuser2470 Well, it depends on if you get lucky with your packs and legendaries (Also, you will still get 1 legendary from the pass by simply logging it and likely can still get the other 2 Legendaries from playing a bit) Guaranteed deck with guaranteed useful legendaries is typically worth more than anything you can earn in normal play within the time. Unless you do in fact play 24/7 and can regularly hit level 400 on the tavern pass, then the 15,000 gold such a feat produces will be more worthwhile.

My biggest guide for new players: Don’t get to invested into standard / wild because you will realize how unbalanced it is. And don’t think blizzard will do something against it, the last 3 years has been the same meta. Stick to arena / casual and don’t spend any money if you truly wanna have fun.

No they are not. Regular pack is 100 gold for 105.67 dust on average. (1.0567 dust per gold) Golden Pack is 400 gold for 354 dust on average. (0.885 dust per gold) For pure dust, it's actually better to grab the old MotLK Signature Packs which are 500 gold for 587.6 dust on average. (1.1752 dust per gold)
