As a Rabbi, I so embrace Zeeko Zaki presenting a positive Muslim American role model on television (Im sha'allah may it one day become common place thanks to Zeeko). I know, in his personal life, Zeeko is an interfaith bridge-builder, something he learned from his parents. Zeeko is one of my favorite people to celebrate Chanukah with, along with my own family and neighbors. I love having friends from the Islamic Society of Delaware under our Sukkah at this fall season. Zeeko is on the cusp of ushering a far better America through popular culture. If he ever needs a rabbi-cameo on "FBI," I am his man. Zeeko -- KOL HA KAVOD -- Hebrew,"for way to go, man!!!"

I get where he is coming from and I think it's a great step to have better Middle Eastern representation on American TV instead of stereotypes, but just that there is a need to have a "good muslim" character in the first place and to make people like him so that they're finally able to grasp that Middle Eastern/Muslim people are just as human as everybody else is so aggravating. Hopefully he can lead the way for a more diverse representation of Middle Eastern/Muslim characters on TV. (Also, coincidentally, he's the most interesting part about this show.)
