27.5k euro in China but starts at 42k in Holland... crazy price difference. For 42k, you can certainly look at other brands. It's also one reason why I didn't get a BYD Seal since it was a whopping 55k euros.

@JerryPanandCars7 ай бұрын
Any non-high-end cars in China will be way cheaper than in Holland because of competition and sales quantity. A brand new Toyota RAV4 hybrid starts at 27k euro in China but 47k in Holland. You can get a brand new VW ID.3 from 14k euro in China or 40k in Holland.

@@JerryPanandCars Antwerp, Rotterdam and Hamburg ports are filled with hundreds of thousands of vehicles yet prices don't seem to drop. The green bill in Europe also does not seem to improve EV prices or even electricity prices. If EVs were available at Chinese prices, far more people would be switching for sure

@ahmadahmal29427 ай бұрын
@@ztz818 No Europeans are not rich. Its because of the European car companies lobbied the EU Government to put high tax on Chinese cars. Because european car companies can't compete against Chinese EVs. And there is no such thing as "3rd and 4th world country". its all made up by the west so they can call themselves 1st world country and feel good about it. The west are good at labeling stuff. Who believe them are basically naive idiots.

Hi Jerry , thanks for doing this quite comprehensive review. I would be really surprised if Australia will get the same model delivered, we will most likely get a dumbed and dulled down version with no sliding centre display. The rear electric seat lift will probably go too as the pet can press the button with their paw or buttock and squash themselves into the afterlife. The buttons under the airbag appears to be a bad design as well as the tailgate door open button. It is a ballsy and interesting model though.
@JerryPanandCars7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the support! Yes, I doubt NZ & AU will get all these features but it shows what Zeekr can do. Your take on the pet button is very interesting. I would never thought about that. Though I believe it is quite hard to find or push the button if the rear door is shut.

@JerryPanandCars6 ай бұрын
Not sure unfortunately. I wish I have this information. Some news said Zeekr is coming by late 2024. Pricing is also unknown. As this is more expensive than BYD Atto3 in China, I think it is safe to assume Zeekr X will be more expensive than Atto3 in AU and NZ.

@@JerryPanandCars I can almost do 400km on the dual motor one (depending on how much the AC needs to run, which is all the time in Shanghai) but that's from 100 to 0%. The worst is in the winter where is it barely 300, sometimes 250 but that's only doing very short trips in the city so most of the energy goes tp heating (range would be better doing highway at this point). Zeekr might be owned by the Chinese, but it is essentially a European car designed mostly by Europeans. As such, the design is very coherent, of high quality and mature, unlike previous indigenous attempts at design. Similar story with BYD but also other non-Chinese Asian brands such as Kia. It’s talented Europeans behind the scenes, in Zeekrs case much of the design action actually happens in Gothenburg, Sweden. As such, I’d buy one if it were available. I do hope the Chinese do learn from the Western talent eventually and come up with some truly indigenous car designs that can also captivate the world market.
