i feel like ive been priced out of opening hockey cards all together at this point honestly. this is one of the products i wanted to open a few boxes of but i cant justify the amount of money in any way. when i think about how long i would need to work to open 1 box i die alittle bit inside

Yea, I agree it sucks. It’s the breakers that are allowing the prices to go this high. There wouldn’t be enough people buying them but it’s what it is. 1 plus side is that anything 21-22 , 22-23 is actually decent value to open now..

Moving on to 24-25 OPC. The last reasonably priced hockey card set left out there that still delivers good value. 23-24 stuff is just awful with the price points and the extreme bloat that the market just can’t support. Looking forward to moving on from Bedard or bust product.

In late 2019 I went to my hobby shop and my guy had 15/16 OPC platinum for 100 bucks a box. I bought 3. That was 3 years after mcdavid was drafted 😂 I miss those days dude. I love platinum. Probably my favorite product but I just cannot spend I think it’s 300 bucks USD a box. I’ve seen some absolute stinkers. I hope you pull some bangers Zeeree.

Here’s my question: During the pandemic it was arguably more expensive to produce the cards because they were outsourced and manufactured in Europe. So why are these new products so much more expensive when it cost less to make? Ok Bedard tax for 23/24 but explain 24/25.

Buying extremely overpriced products by the case is not helping to humble UD in any way. Time for them to go, and for Hockey cards to get a new manufacturer. I'm not and haven't been buying any of this watered down garbage this year. They expect you all now to pay these prices indefinitely into the future.
