I heard so much about this show tht I came to watch it n m shocked at what people called humor and content back in the day. I mean supporting domestic violence, patriarchy, and misogyny all at the same time. How wonderful. So it’s a ghar ka matter if the husband hits the woman n then to top it instead of making him say sorry he literally threatens her that he’ll remarry n forces her to live with him 👏👏👏

TBH, don't you think it's a little too much to expect political correctness from a 90s sitcom? In fact, I went into the episode expecting it to be problematic throughout, but it surprisingly got certain things right (such as Kajal being more empathetic to Saku than Minakshi and calling out Minakshi for using Saku to further her personal agenda). Yes, it could have been written better, the conflict could have been handled more sensitively, and the husband should have apologised. But we also need to understand that every work of art is a zeitgeist of its times.
