This was so cringy 😫. Honestly I was expecting her to trick him in a better way none of that behosh thingy just a smarter and more clever way. In a way which won't make her look like a desperate women seeking to break her fast only from her husbands feeding her water, like it's THE MOST VALUABLE AND WORTHY THING FOR HER LIFE. Just like she said she has two hands to drink water herself she did the fast for him complying all the riti-rivaz, if he is ungreatful and snobbish about it to the point of refusing to help her in breaking it. AT THIS POINT IN BOTH OF THEIR LIVES HE IS NOT A WORTHY HUSBAND TO EVEN DO THAT FOR. Being a husband is not like phere le liye, legally shaaadi karli aur ban gaye husband. You have to act like one, work for it then only you deserve it. Same goes for the wives. Wtf is this happening?

@@ihaveissuespls Standing for what's 'her' as in her right to fast for her her husband is her choice and as I said, there's nothing problematic in it I totally agree with you. But the portrayal here that it if the husband doesn't feed u the water u can't break it/it's of no use. We've all seen wives of soldiers and also couples who live miles apart do this precious practice through video calling. Sometimes wives/husbands doing karvachauth for their deceased loves too. The thing here is instead of depicting meet as a confident and independent women questioning gender stereotypes, we only see her doing it out in the open, when it comes to standing her ground in front of family and defending her actions, questioning if the genders were reversed would they still questions her behaviour ? The validation that she seeeks from her in-laws who claim themselves to be highly educated and classic is uncomfortable to see. And if the family 'khushi' is the reason then .... Well this should be a practical joke to them then ? (Because he throwed water on her face/mouth and she drank it, there was nothing sanskari about this now right? It shouldve been viewed offending the cutural integrity of the ritual. ) In all there is no respect or love from the husbands side when he feeds her water In the end he still thinks of it as nothing ! That is the problem hon :( Instead of reprimanding their son to treat his wife with respect and the custom itself with respect, there are fingers pointed at the female, the wife, questioning her ability as a (sanskari) wife and daughter in law. Double standards. To conclude I believe it would've looked so good if meet would've either convinced him or trick him to break her fast and a middle ground could've been reached and the husband (meet) would've realised the importance and value of her doing the karvachauth. Who knows we could've even be able to seem some romance out of it ;) -- achieving the goal of the serial as a romantic drama.

And Ahlawat has been concerned about her in various situations but can't deny the fact he WAS DECEIVED by his wife's sister and partly by herself. Just because she is facing struggles doesn't INVALIDATE the humiliation and pain that he went through and is going through so if you expect him to be all co-operative he won't cause this relationship reminds him of the betrayal at this point. And Meet Hooda knows very well she doesn't need him to break the fast or whatever, its her respect towards the feelings of the elders and traditions and just, a bit of comedy added to it because even Hooda was going to throw water at him, trying to trick him into doing it that's the dynamic they share. And the double standards of Ahlawats IS ONE OF THE MAIN POINTS OF THE SHOW But only if you DON'T JUDGE IT ALREADY and give them time to unfold the story!
