Why anyone would blame the judges is beyond me. If you felt Zeku won, then in a traditional voting system the judges also picked Zeku, 3-2. In this attack and respond system, which the participants AGREED to be judged by, Victor won. If they want to change that and say the winner is whoever wins the majority of judges votes, then by all means, but that is not how this was scored and the judges are at the mercy of the system.

Completely agree. If you think about the 5 different judges: 3 of the 5 gave majority to Zeku if we average on each battle. Which is How it used to be in older competition like BC one. A judge votes for the best Bboy and that's it.

Always been a fan of Zeku, but I thought Victor won this pretty convincingly. Easily won the 1st round. 2nd round I thought was the closest. Thought Victor's was better overall, but understand why it went to Zeku for it was his best round and his dynamics overshadowed Victor's highly detailed and strong round (5-0 Zeku was confusing to me tbh). 3rd round I thought Victor took. He put out another strong round with solid phrasing and storytelling, while Zeku was just throwing out moves that weren't connecting well and felt repetitive (imo), while not really playing with the music or telling a story. Wish Zeku had gone out for the Bronze match. As a professional and going up against potential teammates it would have been a better look (imo) had he finished it out. Hopefully walking out wont hinder any chance of him repping the USA in the future (if that is a goal of his). But at the same time big ups to Zeku for sticking with his convictions.

Zeku won hands down. Musicality, form, battle attitude, etc were way better. Victor was out of gas and just throwing power to fill the beat. Never actually "danced". More like rhythmic gymnastics. If you look at his other sets, he does a lot better than this, so kind of crazy to see judges let a subpar performance get by. Whatever. Zeku and his crew know who really won, and that's what matters here.

This result shows a huge problem in the the scoring with rounds. We see in this battle that there were 3 rounds. 2 rounds were pretty tights, with a slight better score for Victor. But globally very tight (2-3). The third round is completely won by zeku (5-0). Then based on the number of rounds won Victor won the battle. But if you think about it, who was the best overall ? For me, if I see 2 bboys that run 3 rounds and I see a globally equal level on 2 rounds and a third round completely won by one, I would think this Bboy was better overall. That's my point of view. Happy to chat about it. I know Olympics also run the competition with this scoring approach.
