I'm always torn between just doing a cool time-lapse of the piece or going more in depth during the process. This project was all about redesigning the LttP map so I thought it made sense to talk about the choices I made for each section. Thanks for your kind words!

The map screen I probably spent the most time on as a kid was Mêlée Island from The Secret of Monkey Island. Unfortunately, it's almost entirely made up of black and blue, so it likely wouldn't make for a good perler project.

The first map that amazed me as a kid was from the game boy advance game "Golden Sun". Ever play this game? It was a fantastic RPG!

Thanks, man! Initially I was trying to find a way to subtly incorporate some of the glow-in-the-dark beads into the design so when you turned off the lights, it would become the Dark World. Couldn't quite crack it though!

The Fallout games had great worlds, but their maps were nothing to look at (a la BotW). I'd love to do a Fallout-inspired piece but the games don't really lend themselves to the Perler format. Maybe some minipix?
