roninshinobi my idea was Close range: Time it asap to the bright light (initial release of the laser) Medium range: Wait for laser to shoot then counter a bit after release of the laser Long range: Watch the laser and time it when it’s close

Thank you for the pointers. Those will help a lot when farming or fighting the stalkers in the open. I had close range technique down but was concerned about anything further out since I wasn't sure I could hit the deflect on que. This defiantly gives me some options to work with as well as a way to defend my self in the open if one sees me from a distance and I have nowhere to take cover.

Started playing the game a couple weeks ago and this was super helpful. Listening for the audio cues makes timing your parry soooo much easier than “waiting for the eye to turn blue” that other vids suggest. Once I’m targeted by the guardian I can now do the block without looking at the screen.

If you parry with your shield it does no damage to the durability no matter if it's wood, glass, plastic, metal, or ancient.

There was i time i was afraid to death of guardians, but now they just arent a problem anymore. Ever since i figured out the timing i can now parry most of the time succeasfully, after only practicing a couple times againat guardians. I watched a couple tutorials about how to parry against a guardian. The tio is to get up reasonably close and parry when you hear the beep. So i tried it on the fallen guardians on the plateau. I saved befofe and after each guardian, used a pot lid. It worked. Then i tried on the fallen guardian in east akkala near the lab. Then i tried it on the fallen guardians near central hyrule tower, then the two fully fledged walking guardians. And now i am here, absolutely ecstatic and i can still feel the adrenaline rushing through me. Its so much damn fun. I used to be so terrified of guardians. But now the trick is to stay calm, run up to a guardian and wait for the beep. Then its all a bunch of fun from there.
