literally the only bass clarinet player in my band. theres only me and another bass clarinet player in my entire high school with hundreds of kids. i was the only bass at one point. barry sax backed out to alto and baritone switched to tuba not too long ago. i believe theres only 4 bass clarinets (instruments themselves) in my school. i started with a clarinet. bass clarinets are the best, so underrated. glad to know my favorite franchise has included the instrument i play. amazing cover!:)

The BC has a remarkable tone, an incredible range, and is one of the most versatile instrument in music. Its incredibly soothing timbre and distinctive character is significantly under recognized. It may not be as flamboyant nor as recognized as a glistening metal sax, but it can do everything that instrument can do and more.
@waltz95334 жыл бұрын
I really regret playing bass clarinet because the parts suck but what I've been doing lately in marching band is playing the clarinet and tenor sax parts because those usually sound good and I just play them an octive lower and the band director never notices because they never listen to the bass clarinets
@krane154 жыл бұрын
@@waltz9533 I wouldn't say the parts suck, but they most certainly are nowhere near as challenging as Bb clarinet -- esp. first clarinet. Besides, there was always more than enough other instrument in the band paying the bass part. While the Bb Clarinet always had its unique and distinctive parts, the bass clarinet just repeated most of the big horns and seems so redundant. Not to mention it was always covered up by those big brass instruments anyway. You could just take a break through an entire score and nobody would ever notice.

@musicalbrit34653 жыл бұрын
@@mollysummerrock3916 no, you use grease on ALL the joints on all clarinets. There should be literally no effort at all. If you have to force any parts on regularly, you're going to bend your keys.

Excellent display of musical flexibility. Don't ever lose that flair for creativity. Its recognized, and well appreciated. Too many content creators (musicians, and others) forget that. Unfortunately, your editing leaves a lot to be desired. For one, they're way to many and too frequent dizzying dissolves. For every three dissolves you have, it should only be one (there is tempo to dissolves just like music). And since we're speaking of music, you can use that as your guide: Transition on the beat, or when a new instrument if featured e.g. a solo. Looking forward to your next venue.
