Soundole VGM Covers thanks much dude. This is good to hear because I’m always self conscious about the mixes. I do all mixing and editing on my iPhone with garage band so the tools I have I think are limited, but it’s all I have!

The flute player is spot on. As you do she clearly has avery good understanding of music. The nuances are so important to convey the specific emotions and the feel of the song.

Thanks Jo- I'm the flute player! This was actually recorded with the flute headjoint pulled significantly further out than usual (to the point that I had to play everything a half step up). We did this to create an airier sound that suited this song perfectly, though it was really hard to play like that without the sound cracking! :) As you said, all about the nuance!

This is gorgeous. There's a really balance between all the parts but the most impressive part to me is how clear the sound of the flute is. The cello is of course beautiful as well c: Masterfully done and the quality is all the better for it.

super good! for the solo in the B section, why'd you shift your bow hold so far away from the frog?

koobyjavi great question! I do it for both cello solo sections. I wanted a more folky, airy tone. Holding the bow further up the stick makes the bow length shorter. This way I can use the entire bow with shorter/quicker motions that have the sound that I’m looking for.
