I honestly dont think they'll copy either of the Games with all the Dungeons, this would be too boring and too long for a Movie and more fitting for an anime Series. I rather think they would do a mix of Breath of the wild and Hyrule Warriors with focus on Combat and Exploration.

Animation seems the way to go. For one thing, Nintendo missed the boat on being able to cast the most elfin actor in Hollywood while he was still young enough to reasonably pass for Link and now he’s in his forties.

There are plenty of actors who could play Link, some that we've never heard of. The only "animation" in this film will be CGI animated characters that will look realistic, not cartoony.

I would love to see a legend of Zelda trilogy of movies. I'd use ocarina of time as a template but actually make Zelda the main character of the first one. Maybe even veil her for most of the movie under the veil of Shiek. Perhaps her quest is to obtain the triforce herself first, and only after failing in this quest does she contact Link. The second movie would be Links adventure, how he obtains the master sword through the telepathic guidance of Zelda, but ultimately fails to defeat Gannon himself. The third movie would be the climax, Link frees Zelda, and together they defeat Gannon

Can we please NOT use Hermione & Dune-dude as the thumbnail? It’s safe to say that the majority of LoZ fans would prefer either unknown or up-&-coming actors for this movie. I am excited though.. like so many others, I was pretty disappointed when I found out they were going in the live action direction :/ I’m still very skeptical, but I have faith in Nintendo due to the fact that they’ll guard their precious IP & be heavily involved with the production. Hopefully the Hollywood side of the project honors the source material and doesn’t try to stray away from it. Regardless of Wes Balls credentials & prior projects, the fact that he is an actual LoZ fan eases my mind & has me excited.. One thing I will say ; I PRAY TO HYLIA that they keep the lifelong LoZ fans in mind regarding the script. LORE PLEASE. I’ve seen so many franchises I grew up loving get butchered because of profit driven reasons (trying too hard to only appeal to young kid/ potential new LoZ fans) As a lifelong fan I really hope that the script is lore focused and not just action/battle scenes.. and although I like the Link/Zelda dynamic, I hope they don’t focus too heavily on some flirtatious love story plot too.

Since Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' Director Wes Ball has taken inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki’s style for directing the Legend of Zelda movie, my hope it has a well established relationship of Link x Princess Zelda’s relationship (where started out at best of friends in the beginning until their journey evolves them into be lovers) and a new iteration of them traveling hyrule together. Plus, make an original story similar to what the Super Mario Bros Movie has done build by complement and passionate writers, Princess Zelda becomes a great companion to Link, established the Zelda Lore and mythology, other abilities the Master Sword has, provided Ganondorf enough character background ( one where we can all understand the iconic gaming villain’s intentions, how we should hate him and feared of him as the Gerudo King slowly becomes the Demon King), etc.

Hard agree. Those A-list actors are a huge turn off for most of the hardcore fanbase who are already skeptical regarding this production. PLEASE please don’t f**k it up Nintendo/Sony… Screw Hollywood & Numbers/ figures & stay true to what made fans fall in love with Zelda & stand by it throughout the years. My biggest worry is that the writer isn't known for anything good. I mean c'mon, Star Wars Rise of Skywalker and Jurassic World Fallen kingdom? Yikes. It's going to be a popcorn flick at best, if we're lucky, but with no real substance if this guy is allowed to keep his writing position. It won't be enough to set up a cinematic world IMO unless they get someone else who can write a better script with the intention of setting up a sequel progression of films. Hell, if Nintendo were smart, they would just scrap the standalone blockbuster film idea and just commit to a streaming series. Preferably done in anime format like Castlevania or something like that, but if they really want live action they could get netflix to fund half of it like they did for the first season of Witcher. I would rather HBO produce it if given the choice because they have larger production budgets but I'm not sure if LOZ can retain an audience like Game of Thrones or something like that for very long since it's pretty one dimensional with it's characters. It doesn't have broad appeal over a wide audience range like GOTs does. Mainly being, there's basically only a single protagonist. Over all, I just hope they take their time and not rush it. Zelda isn't like Mario where it can be slapshtick and still work just fine; it's more mature than that and needs to be treated with different hands.

Can't wait me and I believe my bigbrother who is The Legend of Zelda fan are so an excited for the Upcoming The Legend of Zelda Live Action movie what's coming in the Next Year 2025. These are the Actors what I'll hope to see in a Zelda movie: Tom Holland as Link, Anya Taylor-Joy (who was an amazing Princess Peach in The Super Mario Bros 2023 Movie) as Zelda and Dwayne the Rock Johnson as Ganondorf. Is this real? Please no more Emma Watson. She's good it's just she did harry potter, she did belle which was a strong female character and yes while there's makeup to make her look like Zelda still just no. She's got a acting style that's like yup that's Emma and she's versitile just something makes me not see her as a Zelda. Plus depending on plot of Zelda game, her getting kidnapped feels forced, maybe in movie they can smooth that out but I don't see Emma playing a character like that and ... You realize if you go too real with Zelda it's just another medieval story with demons? Some of charm is Toony bits. Also the twin rova sacrifice thing in Gameboy games and the spell ritual thing in skyward sword if they go too real ittl be like all the rated r horror movies where satanic cults do that thing. I think Zelda needs to walk a line. And yes I'm aware of shadow temple history in oot and yet we all played oot at age 5 because Toony stuff kept it under radar. Just saying

All I have to say is I remember the horror that was the cartoon show. So im a big big skeptic of this. To add to this Hollywood hasn't given me much hope plus... even though mario was good...They made peach too independent and didn't need to be saved by mario. Im just afraid that they will make Zelda's character too woke and op. And wreck the whole thing for me. Zelda games have been a hugh hugh part of my life growing up and I don't want to see it wrecked

2025 is when Super Nintendo World is opening in Orlando, and 2026 is when the Zelda-themed area is expected to open. It might go along with the movie, but thats just my guest lol
