I don't think it should've fully saved past the main game since all the monsters would be gone and there would be significantly less to do across the world. What I'd really love is a side mode that takes place after the game and is focused on rebuilding Hyrule. It would've been perfect especially in this game.

Hey Bear! Got one important question: Does Link and Zelda’s relationship evolved into lovers after the events of Breath of the Wild? There are so many hints and Suggestions that they are in Tears of the Kingdom. One example is when you go Hateno Village to check in Link’s old home. It’s called Zelda’s house. In the Japanese version however, it claims to be Link and Zelda’s house (they lived, eat and sleep together in one single bed). Another example is from Dragon Tear Memory 8, where Zelda speaks highly about Link to Queen Sonia and King Rauru as she blushes. Next is you get to see her second dairy in a her secret study room beneath their home where Zelda wrote about a surprise she was gonna give to Link after their investigating the underground caverns of Hyrule Castle. And lastly, you encounter a NPC after rebuilding Lurelin. He show you a photograph image of a Lover’s Pond where someone in disguise went there, then later implies that Zelda went there with Link. Those examples are heavily implied that Zelink is canon.

There's also the ending where Zelda refers to Link's embrace of her when she was falling as warm and loving. Also I had no idea that the Japanese version straight up says Link and Zelda's house, I hate how the English version keeps censoring this stuff! Can't wait to see Link's translated Japanese journal entries, there HAS to be lots of juicy stuff in regards to his feelings for her. Regardless if it's confirmed if they're in a relationship or not, we can all tell they are, even Zelda's voice actress believes so.

If Zelda and Link aren't a couple, then who else could either of them be with? Think of everything that connects them across the two games: stopping Ganondorf together, Link nearly dying twice, Zelda's magic awakening specifically due to her desire to protect Link and Link willing to throw himself in front of any danger to protect her, Zelda spending a hundred years holding Calamity Ganon at bay until Link heals, and then spending thousands of years (thinking she would permanently sacrifice herself) to return to Link with the Master Sword, them communicating with eachother while separated by thousands year. There is no one else that either one of them could ever possibly forge the same bond and connection that they've built with eachother. If there was any ambiguity about before, there is certainly no way that they're not a couple by the end of Tears of the Kingdom.

Video games don't often have kiss scenes because they just look awkward and bad. The 3D models awkwardly clip. Additionally, japan prefers subtlety and subtext with romance, and there's more ways to depict romance than how an american movie does it Also beardbear forgot some scenes, like sonia and rauru wanting to meet the boyfriend.

I'm not sure if this is an Easter egg as I haven't seen anyone discussing it, but in a certain photo quest related to the Unity Bell, after completing it, the innkeeper responds to the photo saying, 'It feels like we can hear the sound of the bell as if there were a couple right here,' with their gaze directed at Link. This also reminds me of the residency requirement in Tarrey Town, where the name in Japanese must include the character 'ダ' (da), which is also present in the name of the princess. This could explain why there is a personal house built in Tarrey Town?!!"

Most Zelda games Link and Zelda are platonic but Skyward Sword, Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks, and Breath of the Wild they are romantically involved so I believe they are romantically involved in Tears of the Kingdom since it's a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild and in that game it's already confirmed Zelda has feeling for Link but I agree with you that some relationships should remain platonic in movies, shows, or games but thats not the case here lol

I don't doubt that Zelda and Link love each other, I just think the love is platonic because we never actually see them interact romantically. Meanwhile, Mipha created the Zora armor specifically to propose to Link, and Link wearing that gear with no objections is a major plot point in BOTW. Also, in the Japanese version of BOTW the adventure log is written as Link's diary, so you get a better sense of his character. There, Link refers to himself as Mipha's loved one. In the context of Mipha planning on proposing to Link, this seems very explicitly romantic.
