I ended up going an hour early and caved in and bought the Collector's Edition since I was 16th in line and they still had some 😅 I originally preordered the regular game!

Weird, I thought maybe he opened to before and forgot to put the inner box back inside. I just got mine and it has a hard cover box inside the sleeve. I live in Europe if that helps

Looks like they packaged the collectors edition very different to the European version, ours is much easier to open… And now we rarely get midnight releases now sadly Also, 8:16 I always open the amiibo boxes carefully with a box cutter so it hurts to see people opening them like this 😭

Wow companies be getting lazy when it come to the steel book Remember when the game was actually in the steel book and not in a Separate case half the time🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure the stealbook has almost always been separate. And that isn't "lazy". They do that intentially because some people wants the original case as well as the steel book. They didnt like they had to buy a standard copy on top of collectors/deluxe edition just to get the standard artwork as well. So they just made the steel book a separate case for the collector can have both without but another game.

This Collector's Edition is honestly a disappointment, a poster, a pin set, and an art book, all for $60 extra? It just doesn't seem worth it, back in the day we used to pay an extra $20 for all the content that this box would include. Why make us pay an extra $60 for things that honestly could have just been pre-order bonuses. And on that point, the pre-order bonuses were kind of trash too, a block of wood and an arm sleeve, woohoo 🙄

I bought the original and the collector's edition. So excited that Target had it in stock. Got the LAST ONE! Best Buy didn't have ANY in stock when the store opened today. Thank goodness Target came through in the clutch. LOVE IT!
